First of all, these pictures are of the type of "houses" that people downstate build mostly to impress others. Upstate people use their houses as HOMES - NOT to "impress" others who are materialistic.
Second - In order to live downstate, one must be employed in a highly professional position with a large salary in order to even afford the taxes.
I would rather live Upstate where I can drive to work in a matter of 20 minutes rather than sit in traffic bumper to bumper for over an hour and then pay thru the nose to park your car - downstate!!!!
If Utica had the population & businesses that downstate does, it would certainly not be a depressed area as it is now. When the computer chip company moves here (if he ever does), that is when Utica will rebuild.
You are NOT comparing apples to apples with your criticism of Utica so everything you posted is not even worth reading.
You talk like an old idiot. "must work in a highly professional"? What's highly professional above regular professional could you explain that to Me? There's no parking fees in Poughkeepsie or Newburg or anywhere down there until you hit the city an hour or more to the south. It takes your entire 20 minute commute to go from newburg to newpalts for gods sake you stupid cow people have no idea how bad your hellhole really is do you?You should get out of your septic tank too.
I can tell by the sorry excuses you just made you have never even been out of the county for at least 10 years. Or you're just that stupid. No comparison your 70k toiletbowl in NU is just that. And worth twice what you're paying for it!

-3 Malls, each far larger than Snaggletown - 7~20 mins
-Stewart Int Airport -9mins
-Orange County Chopper World HQ - 7 mins
-3 other regional cities - 1/2 hr
-Mean income - 2x + above upstate
-Housing Values - 2x faster than upstate shacks
-Access to NYC businesses, Madison Ave and meetings - 1hr
-Gas - 25c cheaper
-Schools and colleges - 3x better
-Restaurants - 5 times more and 5x better
-Parking for your Pop's MASSIVE 3 story chriscraft twin diesel - ample
-Diesel for the trip to Rondout Creek, or Bear Mountain or NYC tours... so you can blow fuel and throttle with style - 40c cheaper
-Floating restaurants and bars big enough slippage for above - ample
-4 major news networks and 4 print outlets
-Average child 2 years more sophisticated and mature than upstate kids
-Colleges that actually do what their main theme claims
-Intelligent people, police, and firemen who respect and are respected far more than the deliverence-lawman crowd you live to serve up here!
-Access to rental aircraft
-Access to politicians for developers that doesn't require a voweled last name or a kickback
-When they DO ask for kickbacks they're smart enough not to do it in writing in a letter! Even the thieves are smarter!
-Access to world class healthcare, 4 teaching university hospitals within 1 hr flight time, not 3 hrs.
Better roads, the DPWs don't make their driveways and coffebreaks Job 1, roads Job 2.
-Politicians are much more educated and approachable
-Children have much more access to world-class sporting clubs and activities.
-Access to a world of professionals unknown and unacknowledged anywhere around utica. To acknowledge greatness they'd have to admit they consistently suck, at anything.
-jobs for pilots, technicians, specialists and trained engineers.
-People laugh at crap like Boilermakers
-Bars with actual beautiful women not 30% overweight accross the crowd.
-
Have fun tonight at Saranac or Chuck E. Cheese
LOL!!

No, just afternoons while I'm here with fam but whats the difference either way some people have to make money. Others can only talk about it! Truth hurt? Just by reading what most of you say, how your values work and your sad logic it's not so hard to see why you all ended up stuck in blackfly county here. But at least there's an upshot... the worse it gets for you the more billable hours I end up with! Thanks! Suffer harder now, cry for more help because I got my eye on gift for someone I love. You do know what that is right or did that go out the window the day you all started living from hand-to-mouth?

Ya gotta love someone who asks for respect then quickly follows it up with insulting them! THIS is why utica is soooo fked up. Almost everyone expects something for nothing. Go on whine but tell me I'm wrong here.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Gemini

A little give and take goes a long way, so try to be flexible and malleable when dealing with others. It will also pay to ask people what they think rather than to make sweeping assumptions on their behalf, because you could be in for a surprise. A child may have some interesting information for you, or they could make a statement that really sets you thinking.
