Okay, we landed on Mars. Can someone justify for me what will be accomplished by doing this? I'm certain the mission was several million dollars and for what?? It's not as if we can live there someday so why bother when we have so many problems we need to deal with today. Wouldn't that money be better used right here to help so many people in need or help world hunger? It's like just throwing money away at a cause that does nothing for anyone. I just can't justify all the money for something we can't use as a resource. Every time you read the paper, there is a money shortage everywhere and we waste it unnecessarily!!
We are gonna put our money-suckers there...

So we spent over 2 billion, I said billion, not million, on a one ton piece of roving shit. Do you people have any idea how many starving people that would feed? So what if there was ever life on mars, we have life on earth and they need help. All this mission is, is to say we did it. Nothing will be accomplished, nothing will ever come out of it, nothing will benefit us in the future. It's a 152 million mile mission of wasted time and money just so a bunch of engineers can act like a bunch of overgrown kids high five-ing each other. We landed on the moon, big freaking deal, what did we benefit from that money pit trip except some rocks which we already have about a trillion tons of them right here. We love to waste money while people go homeless and hungry.

Stay off the internet then retard. We've learned more from exploration and physics than your retarded upstate ny hillbilly ass will ever know. Stick to football and Nascar it's probably more your speed and you sound like the kind that needs to be entertained a lot for lack of thinking up anything worthwhile to do yourself. Oh wait those things required intelligent building engineers and since you people can't build lean-tos I guess that rules that out too. Off to play stick&ball with ya!

a good example is in today's paper. The food banks shelves are close to being bare while we're spending billions exploring dead sand millions of miles away. I don't care how you spin it with all the things we can learn, the bigger problem is right here!! Exploring a dead planet in hopes to find life or past indications of life is about useful as a screen door on a submarine. We live on planet earth where we know there is life and we're not dealing with that very well either. It's a waste of money in epic proportions, and it clearly shows we don't know how to come together as a human race to help one another!!!!
