I hear "rumors" that in Whitestown, a huge group of parents officially started up an "independant" hockey organization that will be run by Blum, Infantino and Webb (all who run the Bulldogs). I hear a huge amount of parents are leaving Whitestown because of this.
"It is sad when Whitestowns own boardmembers are heading this. We left Whitestown last year, it doesn't suprise me.
Anyone hear any truth to this matter?

This is Dave Infantino and actually Yanks you are right and wrong. Yes there will be an Independent team and from what I know most parents are all for the idea. This will give kids a chance to play at higher levels in the area instead of going to Syracuse. Please do not post my name, unless your going to post yours. Have some class and remember these are kids trying to pursue what they believe in.

Oh before I forget, this is not a new Hockey Organization like Yanks said. This is actually one team that will consist of 8 year olds that will be an Independent Team.

Thanks for your time !

Sorry Dave, was just using last name. But thanks for clearing it up. Sounds good, this is what the area needs! Hope you will be doing this for other ages as well. Especially the pee wee level.
Thanks

This is actually a great idea Dave. What are the chances of getting this at all levels in other organizations ?? I hear it all the time from parents how Syracuse costs a fortune, but its the only organization around with kids witin there age group. I wanted someone to this years ago when my older son played, but it never happened. I agree these kids need to stay in the area. Alot of hockey talent in this area, but most dont stick around.

Dave, did your life as a kid suck so you're trying to live it through your kid. Those parents really crack me up...

Thanks,

We tried this years ago here. I wish you guys the best. If you have parents that are committed to the game it can work. I know Morrisville has been doing Independent Teams this for years and they swear by it.

All Dave and Company is trying to do is bring something positive to this area and trying to keep our local hockey players here instead of Syracuse. This obviously goes far beyond a father trying to live through his son, as it will benefit many children, not just his own. Try not to see a negative side to everything RedDog...there are good people out there trying to do good things for the area.

My son palyed at Morrisville and did the Independent Team there. I liked the idea of him playing with better kids all the time, but the travel was tough.

This Bulldog Camp draws alot of kids. I hear Blum is a really good coach with tons of experience. Think he played in AHL. Sounds like a good idea.

I guess you are right, I apologize. Its better than kids in this area having to play for the Stars in a sense. My apologies...

I guess parents are fed up with organizations. The problem is poor coaching. These parents mean well and some can be good, but lets face it they have limited skills. You have a decent coach that knows his stuff, thats huge. The Independent Team is a great idea. I'm 52 not sure if this area has parents willing to pull there kids out of there click organizations, like the one I'm in.

Ryan you couldnt be more right. We had a coach a few years ago and he was a nightmare. The guy knew nothing and the kids were getting worse. He is no longer a coach from what I know. You get a good coach thats key. Who cares if your 52 !!

Hockey is a girls sport these days! Lets just eliminate checking and fighting and let the players wear tampons.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Aquarius

You won't like it if you feel your wings are being clipped today. You want to do something in particular, only to discover that someone is objecting to your plans or that circumstances beyond your control are standing in your way. Although your instincts tell you to throw a tantrum to get your point across, you must ask yourself what this will achieve, and whether it will actually be self-defeating.
