Just when we all thought that the Republicans were about to settle for a wooden, elitist, emotionless, lying, principless dope as their nominee, they're apparently having second thoughts, and may instead nomintate who would be America's first sociopathic President: Newt Gingrich. I must admit, Gingrich gives new meaning to hyprocicy (and audacity). I generally don't give a f.ck about the private lives of politicians. But this is really something to behold. For decades, Gingrich cynically manipulated the issue of "family values" for his own political (and later financial) gain. But he really has sunk to depths which are almost impossible to fathom: his wife is diagnosed with MS. He responds by inviting her to "swinging" and an open marriage. An unusual lifestyle choice for a devoit Catholic and committed (publicly) religious zealot. All to thunderous applause by the loons which are the Republican faithful. And to watch Gingrich play the victim at the debate last night was impressive in its pure psychopathology. The guy's wife had just been diagnosed with MS! He says he f.cking some bimbo, and wants to swing. And he's the victim! What a country.

What a country. Valid points but our current socialist President is really no different. A vote for Newt is a vote for Obama. Pretty much one on the same!

Obama is not a socialist. He's more like George HW Bush, Richard Nixon (economically) or Nelson Rockefeller, ie, moderate Republican, than any liberal democrat, let alone socialist. And for all of his faults, he doesn't appear to be remotely as loathsome a human being as Gingrich.

Our first sociopath as President? I guess if you are arguuing semantics, Obama, Clinton, Nixon and Kennedy were all Narcissistic sociopaths, to varying degrees. Newt doesn't have my vote, but he doesn't hold a candle to those horrible people.

Obama has been called just about every word invented. In this economy and world of cynicism, Jesus could have won for President and he would have been ridiculed. Love Obama or hate him, the Republican choices have been downright awful. With people like Perry (is he George Dubbya's twin?), Palin, Bachmann, Neuter, Sanitorium, et al, it's been one terrible choice after another.

I'll give you a few examples how they have further destroyed it. 1. zero progress on addressing the energy issues in the country. Remember gas is now twice as much as three years ago. 2. Promises that health care costs would go down with this new govt plan. but they continue to climb at an increasing pace. 3. Continued support for failing industries to prop them up like union run manufacturing, under performing education, just to get their votes. 4. record yearly deficits that I know are not completely their fault but remember those promises to go through the budget line by line with laser sharpness to trim the fat. Didn't happen. 5. Zero reform of the social security system so that now the system is actually running a deficit where we are paying out more than in. There was a promise that we would tackle it. Didn't happen. So, no improvements in health care, no reform of social security, no balanced budgets, no improvements in making us energy independent, no budget reforms, no education reforms. Doesn't mean Obama started those problems but he has failed to get any of those really important issues heading in the right direction.

Gas twice as much as three years ago? Guess again. You might want to check some facts first. Healthcare costs keep rising due to all the lawsuits trying to block the healthcare bill. A lot of it hasn't been allowed to take effect. Record years of deficits? Uh, we have been in a recession. Again, check historical facts on government spending during a recession to see that our government runs very high deficits during each and every recession this country has faced, major or minor. Social Security is self funded, not even part of the federal budget. Perhaps you should read more than watch Fox News so you would see that there are departments within the Federal Government that Obama consolidated and/or eliminated altogether. I realize facts don't fit with your imaginary world, but the rest of us live in the land of facts. With this crop of Republican candidates, Obama has nothing to worry about at all. You think he stomped Mc Cain at the polls four years ago? You are in for a treat this November.

I can't disagree with the author, however, under the defintion of sociopath: "lacks sense of moral responsibilty or social conscience". how many of our politicians, Repub and Dem, fit the definition??!!! They all do. From Barack, Newt, down to the Senate, down to the Congress, down to our State Rep's, etc...... they are all about votes, and THE MACHINE which fuels them. You just need to find which you choose sleeps best at night.

Bill Clinton was and may still be an admitted abuser of women. An admitted liar and possible rapist. Bill Clinton had a need to force himself on women. I don;t see any comparision except in your little boys mind.
