lol, I can tell you without reading those comments. It only makes sense. People on gov't insurance having babies increase the overall insurance (and finanacial) load on the gov't. It's far cheaper to pay for their contraception insurance than new family members. A gov't official will never come out and say that so they'll tap dance around a number of justifications.

It makes no sense at all. The price of birth control is minimal and if people are irresponsible to have unprotected sex then it is their problem, not everyone else's. You liberals are idiots and the replies in this link show just how stupid liberals are.

Its their problem? maybe you should read my post again where I plainly make the case that's its not only their problem. When the parents are on welfare, social security, medicaid foodstamps, WIC etc... we're all paying for "the problem". You said it right, the price of birth control is minimal and the gov't realizes we share in that risk, whether you realize it or not

Other people's irresponsibility is not OUR problem. It is time people are held responsible for their decisons.
The price of birth control and they should buy it, in a lot of these cases, you mention, these people find ways to buy cigarettes and drugs and it is time they start learning that other people are not going to keep covering for their bad decisions.

Do you guys even know what you're talking about? The Medicaid program has paid for contraception for 20 years that I know of so that is not a change. There are plenty of jobs out there that do not offer insurance and now that we are all required by law to have insurance they will now have to be put on the medicaid rolls so why should they not use there tax dollars that feed the system when they qualify for it. If you have a job and are under insured I say use what you are paying for and maybe big Gov will rethink their fiscally irresponsible decisions.
If you have a problem with government in your bedroom vote libertarian.

A libertarian vote is a wasted vote and is one of the reasons we are moving toward socialism. First a person on medicaid is NOT paying any federal taxes. Second we are talking in the here and now and not the future on the DOA obamacare. The reason health insurace costs so much is because we are having insurance companies pay for things that should be paid for out of pocket. I should not have to pay for birth control for anyone, nor should I have to pay for their abortions.

Libertarian and Liberal are not the same thing! A Libertarian vote is generally going to be conservative in nature for the purpose of less government intervention.

EXACTLY my point. Libertarians vote is a wasted vote that could have gone to a conservative candidate. So the liberals win because libertarians are wasting their votes on some fringe candidate. I never said libertarian and liberals were the same. Libertarians want less government, liberals want more and more government, liberals are leeches.

wake up to the real world. We only pay for it because its IN OUR BEST INTEREST to do so. Do you think the gov't will make your car payment if you don't? So its your aguement the majority of people on social security, medicaid, and medicare find ways to buy cigarettes and drugs so we should've fund birth control? You think the country is better off paying the health care benefits of their children since they themselves are receiving public healthcare?

It is NOT in our best interest to pay for the irresponsibility of others. It is our best interest to teach people there are consequences for their actions. Your idea would open up more irresponsible behavior. Obviously you don't have children.

You didnt answer the question. Do you think the country is better off paying the health benefits, possibly foodstamps etc for the children born to individuals already dependent on gov't services?

It's not in my best interest to do anything that makes it hard to support my family! Enough is enough! This third world bottomless pit has to come to an end soon!

First of all reform medicaid and welfare, if you have more children you should not receive higher benefits and limit the amount of time you can receive benefits from the program. The program was designed for people who are working but couldn't make ends meet. I'm all for helping them. It's the ones that sit on their ass and do nothing but pump out more babies that I have the problem with

Secondly Social Security and Medicare are totally different. Most people (except SSI) have paid into the Social Security System for years and deserve the benefits they are now receiving.

We militarize virtually the entire middle east. We have spent 100s of billions of dollars arming countries that we end up at war with, and continue to militarize countries that we will end up at war with in the future. The cost of contraceptives are a drop in the bucket compared to what we spend setting the world up for WWIII. You guys complain about food aid to these foriegn countries, but I have never heard you nutjobs say a word about jets, missiles, and tanks given in aid. Oh yeah, that's part of the pentagon budget, and that's Gods work.

I also agree with most of your reform statements. I'm sure you know any changes in those entitlements must be legislated by congress. Some on the right are misled into believing Obama has channged our entitlements.

Just as some are misled into believing Ryan wants to abolish Social Security and Medicare. Reform is needed and unfortunately not everyone will be happy.

The Romney Ryan plan saves Medicaid, the Obama plan GUTS medicaid. 700 billion less in Medicaid becauee of the obama cuts.

unreal, you seem to have a head on your shoulders, why do you buy into the liberal lies. Turn the TV channel and learn the truth. There is NO medicaid plan without changes and cutting 700 billion is not a change to save medicaid it is a change to eliminate medicaid. Get off the liberal kool aid.
