Interesting, I always wanted a puppy by this huge german shepherd but it had never bred. Someone was caring for it and it got lose and ended up at my pup's mommy's place at just the "right" time so the rest is history, LOLOL. That's why I get my pets fixed as soon as possible. I googled it, and they say pit-bull/German Shepherd is a great mix. The mother is brindle and I'd love to see that in them, kinda like this:

I fixed this pair early, they both have some genetic issues that could have passed to puppies and it wasn't worth taking the risk. I had initially planned to breed the older dog, but I found out when he was a year old that he has lupus. He has a shared lineage with my previous shepherd, which was an awesome line. The younger dog was a rescue from a horrible breeder, so I never planned on breeding him anyway, just wanted to give him a good home with proper medical care.
We moved from the Northern US to the South recently, and they aren't used to the heat so all their walks are after midnight when its cooler and I don't have to worry about the pavement burning thier paws. The younger one prefers it because he doesn't have to wear his sunglasses at night! He hates those, poor baby! They are a necessity for him because he's losing his eyesight.
