Elsewhere there was coverage indicating that he was dealing with major pain and an upcoming total hip replacement. So it won't be a surprise if he was managing his pain with something...
But he also said in a blog that he was uninsured, the hip being a pre-existing condition, and that he was trying to figure out his finances to pay for it all out of pocket. Hence, the suing of Tweedy just a few days after that blog post. I think the guy was just trying to get healthy and it came a little too late, I get the feeling he was suing out of a genuine need, in other words. Just thought that was worth mentioning.

Sad death and sad circumstances. I didn't know abut the hip replacement health insurance issues.
