You know, it's sad that this happened, however accidents happen. Twenty years with no problems, and then something happens, OOOOOOOO can't do that anymore. C'mon - to end something like this because for the first time it went wrong, nope, sorry, I do not agree. The real reason this will end is because so many people will file lawsuits, they will not be able to afford fireworks for the next twenty years.***** My pants got burned - I want 67 Million ***** I saw stars for a minute - I want 20 Million **** My brothers girlfriends step-dads niece saw some dude crying - I want 50 Million **** It's the American way......Pathetically......... . And if this had happened to me and my family - NO I WOULD NOT SUE OR ASK FOR 50 BILLION DOLLARS. I WOULD EXPECT THE PARTIES INVOLVED TO PROVIDE THE PROPER MEDICAL CARE, BUT I WOULD NOT USE IT BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO GO TO WORK ON MONDAY.....

My husband and son are still in bandages and my husband in serious pain from this accident, I would suggest you Thank God it didn't happen to you and adhere to "but for the Grace of God go I" attitude. You come across very angry. I'm happy this didn't happen to you, we can handle it.

John,
You have no idea what it is like to have this happen to your child, I do. My daughter and a friend will be scared physically and emotionally for life. I was sitting with them within 6ft of all those injured,it was horrendous. You should try taking a hot one-see how you react! YOU ARE PATHETIC! This is signifantly more than "my pants got burned" you dumb ass! Nobody, nobody needs to go through this-well maybe you do. Oh, by the way noboby steps up to take care of any medical bills-that is "the American way." The real reason this may end is that the site is unsafe. This was first person-BLOOD pouring from broken little kids, adults burned and twisted in agony-you have NO idea what this was like. You should shut your mouth, how dumb and ignorant is showing. You also don't understand how the legal system works-there is very little in sueing-maybe the medical costs can be recovered. The last part of your sorry arguement makes no sense either.

I just wanted to thank you "outraged father" our 3 year old daughter has autism, which is why we weren't at the fireworks,(thank God) Getting the phone call that night was beyond belief. My husband was just able to go back to work a week ago. It was a terrible Summer in ways the typical person would have no way to understand. Our plate was full and then this happened. Thank you for sharing your views and I pray your children will be able to get these images out of their little minds.

Well, Outraged Father and Concerned Family member, you got what you wanted. Because of a law suit filed against the wrong individuals, vienna will not do the fireworks show again. Granted, accidents do happen and people affected by shoddy workmanship should be compensated. However, All fault lies with the chinese manufacurer for producing the bad parts and with shafer for failing to properly test the product for quality control before using it in displays. Don't sue Vienna. There was no way they could have prevented what happened. They followed FFx guidelines regarding how far spectators had to be from the fireworks. What else can you ask them to do?
