Jailing illegal immigrants cost more than expected

The WP recently reported that 164,296 illegal aliens served time in local metro area jails during 2007. That's 450 illegal's a day committing crimes serious enough to be jailed in our area. While other counties continuously recycle these same illegal criminals through their revolving door courts at the expense and safety of their taxpayers, PW and Loudoun should be applauded and appreciated for protecting their residents.

My question is why don't they deport them when they have them in jail. When I lived in Texas the border patrol ran daily bus loads of illegals back to Mexico almost all of them full. Instead now they just let them back out on our streets knowing that they are illegals. I know a correction officer that said that they notify INS but they won't do their jobs and ater a certain time they have to release them. It's our own government that is at fault. And they just won't stop it.

There is no doubt that this illegal immigration has caused more problems than anyone could have ever imagined. As for the cost of jailing these ILLEGAL ALIENS, I would confiscate all their belongings, including any money they have and use that to cover the cost of the jailing. Sorta like the fine of being here ILLEGALLY. If there is any money left over, put it in the general fund or donate it to charity. Do any have a car? Take it! Sell It! Use the money to pay for the costs. Whatever it takes, get these CRIMINAL ILLEGAL ALIENS out of this Country, and everyone of them is a CRIMINAL!

And would a State Law help?, you know, like Arizona, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Missouri, South Carolina and a few others. The law seems to be working fine in those States.

You can't be partial in your laws and by only prosucuting the illegals is just that. There are alot of contractors that have broken these same immigration laws by hiring these workers yet you rarely here about them be charged or fined. They are the ones that need to be held responsible for their crimes. They have cost our nation billions of dollars in lost taxes and ss benifits and billions in fines that they will never have to pay. Yea, those contractors are guilty as charge and I pray that they will be broken and bankrupt, just like they have done to this nation for a illegal profit.

Any money earn during the procedes of a crime is illegally earned money.Employers making money working felons sounds like ill gotten gains to me.They should have to pay back all proceeds made working illegals.
