Shame on Upland High School. There are too many hungry people in the world for UHS Kids to be wasting a food source like this. Toss water balloons and give the pumpkins to a food bank. What does this teach young people?

Why don't they have a class teaching kids not to litter when walking home from school? 11th Street and Redding way look awful littered with trash, and of course graffiti. Actually the school as a whole looks pretty shabby.

Shame on you kim, suggesting they use water balloons when there are people going thirsty all over the world.
And shame on you for waisting your time posting stupid comments when there are people all of the world that are dead and would have liked to have just a few more useful minutes in their lives.

I guess my previous comments were pretty stupid. I mean you can't have a class to teach kids not to litter. That should be taught to them by their parents. I am a moron and I will stop posting comments that have nothing to do with the article. Matter of fact I'm going to go out on that dirty street and clean it up myself.

All of the pumpkin pieces were collected and made into a giant pumpkin pie.
Unfortunately this won't satisfy Kim, because the pie won't be eatin, but instead thrown at her big condesending face.

To Kim: What a pain in the a## you must be. I feel sorry for your family. "Punkin Chunkin" has been going on for years in other parts of the country during the Fall. I'm positive nobody is STARVING because of a few tossed pumpkins!

As a matter of fact I do pick up trash on my street when I see it.
That was my whole reason for suggesting that they have a class about pride in one's community because the parents have not done the job properly.
And please stop using other people names.

I am so glad my tax dollars are going to help high school kids toss pumpkins. They all need to go hungry for a few days.

I agree. Wasting food is a real problem. I am surprised at this Physics teacher. Glad my kids don't attend that school.

I give up. It's pointless to try to reason with idiots. I'd throw a pumpkin at the lot of you, if I could! Jeez...

That teacher would probably launch your kids over the fence onto Foothill Blvd. to the delight of the entire Student Body(and me).

Daily Horoscope for January 1

Sagittarius

Happy New Year, Saggitarius! Despite the headache, your motivation level is high today, setting a trend for the rest of the year. You'll be surrounded by relatives and friends all year and will work passionately to help them, as you do. Things go smoothly today, and you're absorbed with the duties of new year. Be careful that you don't neglect your own health, though. You can't help others if you're run down.
