Hi, I would like some opinions on choosing a psychiatrist.
I currently live in the Puyallup/Tacoma area but was wondering if I should choose a psychiatrist all the way in Seattle. 1) For some reason, I think the psychiatrists in a big city like Seattle would have seen a lot more difficult cases and thus be "better" docs. Do you think this might be true? Or should I just not bother with the 1 hour commute and settle for a psychiatrist in my local area. 2) Also, I am wondering if it is better to go see a psychiatrist that works for a hospital/clinic or see one who owns his/her practice. Any pros/cons? 3) Also, any good psychiatrists that you recommend? Someone who's well informed with meds and combos. Thanks! |
