Boy Ray "a long time ago"? Sounds like you're working on three strikes. Seems like you don't know the difference between a bad chief and a good chief. Cercone, according to those who know his work, is a professional. Time for you to go Ray. Is it a coincidence that City Attorney Don Freeman is the City Attorney for Carmel, where they have major litigation going on due to bad advice from Freeman? Freeman who just farms most things out after he has screwed things up? I think it is time that the citizens of Seaside make a clean sweep of things. Wasn't Ray hired because of his redevelopment expertise? His accomplishment so far $20 million on the Auto Center that looks like a ghost town, was badly designed and certainly doesn't show $20 million in work. But I'm sure the D.A. will sit on this one like all the others.

Finally, the truth about Ray Corpuz is coming out. Corpuz has RUINED Seaside and everybody stood by and watched!

Before it is all over, police chief Cercone will have exposed a sleazy city manager, a couple of dishonest cops along the way and a city council that was inept for hiring Corpuz as the city manager in the first place! What were they thinking? Corpuz showed up for work the first day as a convicted criminal from washington and they took him. Great choice!

Seaside has been going backwards instead of forward just like 10 to 20 years ago. Hopefully this will be a start in reversing that.

With such a background, how in the HELL did the current Seaside City Manager get HIRED ???

Not exactly a city chief executive officer type, huh ? If he is found culpable for the charges, you people in Seaside need to take a LONG LOOK at your screening process.

what a sad day in Seaside. Imagine how this makes the residents feel when all of this is going on. Imagine the morale of the Police Department and City employees.

Reading this reminds me of the Tamminy Hall era..

I think my neighbor was just released from prison a while back, he needs a job.

With hiring practices like this he should be well qualified.

That is exactly what I was thinking of. Tamminy Hall. That is whats going on down there and the people of Seaside need to raise up against the corruption and the power thirsty addiction that our so-called city leaders have. lets kick em out of office

So what does 'Corputz' have on Rubio? Why else would Rubio hire him if not for being blackmailed?

Or was Rubio just derelict in his duty to find an honest man to be City Manager

You are so right about Freeman. He is a bad actor. He has covered up more illegal and unethical conduct by Carmel Mayor Sue McCloud (Brown Act violations, employment discrimination policy, coverup of sexual harassment by City Administrator Rich Guillen over years), City Administrator Rich Guillen (sexual harassment, misallocation of taxpayer monies to employees who do not earn it). By the way, a Planner Director threatened to sue the city when Sue McCloud was a Planning Commissioner because she harassed him on the job and Don Freeman helped to make that go away.

Unlike Seaside Police Chief Cercone, Carmel Police Chief George Rawson protects Carmel Mayor Sue McCloud et al. He allowed the police to remove opposition campaign signs throughout town because Sue McCloud told him too. And he knew about Rich Guillen because he was sent one of Rich's infamous emails about harassment and he did nothing. Carmel needs a clean sweep too.

Lets take the puppets back to the circus where they belong. They have cost the city of seaside enough money already. We need to join our community in support of our chief and the hard working officers who do an amazing job protecting our community. Those two clowns who were hired by Corpuz need a ride back to the tent of low lives too..

"You are fired", if you have any self respect left or consideration for the city of Seaside, please book your one way ticket to Tacoma now.
We as a community will make sure to hold you accountable for your actions and your crimes. We will not allow our city to be 12 million dollars in the hole because of you.. City counsel, this is your job, we hired you to represent all of us. We have waited too long!! Please take action..

I hope the Police Cheif sues the City of Seaside into bankruptcy. The City Council knew exactly what they were getting, when he was Tacoma's City Manager this guy and his hand picked Police Cheif imposed "no arrest" policies for his son.

I'll tell you exactly what the person or people who hired them were thinking: "we want a thug like Ray Corpuz forcing our policies through." That is exactly what he was in Tacoma, a thug and a bully, and there is no reason that the Mayor of Seaside would have hired him other than that. Ray Corpuz is a thug, plain and simple. That is what defines his managment style. And I don't live in Seattle I live in Tacoma and Brame is only a start. Brame murdered his wife and that made national headlines, what never made the national headlines is of the same nature.
