So because I don't post my name that means my thoughts have no merit. Mike, I read your first couple of post and all they did was dog on small town cops. Why all the sudden are you pro-police? Did you get a ticket that was dismissed or did one actually help you. I am a cop and I get tired of people talking bad about what we do. Give me an example of a "mickey mouse" ticket you have seen and I will shoot your theory into the ground. Every ticket is put into the penal code, transportation code, and city ordinances in order to protect the people.

WOW, I'm impressed. You and Dale C must be butt buddies. Way to make friends and influence people, name calling, sarcasim etc. You really need to get a life. Instead of name calling and degrading comments, why don't you make intelligent comments/suggestions that will more likely get their attention. I've sign my name because I'm not ashamed to express my thoughts. Have a great Day. Bottom line is the small town police departments in general do a super job, but you get some coowboy element in every sector of the job force. there are mickey mouse tickets you have to admit, but all-in-all they do a super job. Put a name(legit) to your comments and give them some merit.

Just a suggestion to all the unsatisfied customers of this crowd
y'all are barking up the wrong tree making negative statements about small town cops writing bogus tickets. May I remind you that these small town cops are enforcing TEXAS LAWS. The same Texas laws the larger cities abide by. The officers don't write these laws- just enforce them. No matter how trivial and silly y'all may feel these laws are, I guarantee you can reference them if you took the time to read the Texas Penal Code, Transportation Code, and Code of Criminal Procedure. These laws were put into effect for a reason- some of you may have actually voted for them!
If you have any complaints...
drive to Austin, start at the big white building with the pillars, the high dome, and flags on top. It's called the capitol- good luck with that one.

We seem to be confused. I am sure there is maybe one Police officer who doesn't think they are above the law. That doesn't say "uhmmm well I didnt get you on radar. Uhmm here is a ticket for to fast for conditions". If you prefer UC police that terrorize women and children in their own home by breaking in without any cause. I can name at least 5 or more who fabricated reports and evidence. Nice thing is all in writing and on video. This is not about enforcing the law. Its about officers who think they are the law.

Just an update. I ended up taking defensive driving because i could not take the time off work to go to court 3 times to fight my ticket. I had to bite the bullet and i took the online course at my leisure.

I just want to point out a lot of people are not getting the point here. It's not that i hate police officers...i have met some very good one's in and around San Antonio area....even one that gave me a ticket that i did deserve. But the U.C. Cop who gave me the ticket riding with his trainee made a u-turn to follow me and followed me until i was just about to get onto the highway. I knew he was behind me for 10 minutes..running my plates and looking for any reason to give me a ticket. In the end he just made up a reason, plain and simple..and that's wrong and anyone who can point their finger at me, you weren't there. And didn't get disrespected like that. Your rights were not stripped from you in front of your 9 year old...who wanted...to be a cop. You didn't spend a bunch of hours...or $200 bucks to take defensive driving knowing that you followed the rules. And if you can sit at your computer and judge people who have been mistreated...only because it hasn't happened to you...well then i can only hope karma shows you the same kindness.
Thank You And Goodbye ;)

I too have had problems with the uc police department. I recieved a no seat belt ticket with the seat belt in fact on. When i told the officer " Hello im wearing my seatbelt." He replied with " Take it up with the judge." The worst was when I was pulled over on pat booker for a flickering license plate light. I was 2 doors down from autozone and told him id get it fixed right now.He asked me for my dl and issurance. I stupidly didnt have it on me but did in fact have insurance on the car. When i took the proof of insurance down to the courthouse they still charged me 305 dollars for the ticket. Then after a year and a half goes by, i find out at work my dl is suspended due to the fact i never made my surcharge payment to the motor vehicles dept for no insurance. I tried talking to the court house and knowing they did wrong the blew me off. Now if I want to fix the problem i have to pay more money for an attorney. This is the most ridiculous city ive ever lived in.

The Universal City Police Dept. is in my opinion very professional and very well trained. These officer's go to work everyday putting their lives on the line to keep us safe. You never want to see them and then complain when they're not around. Instead of complaining about our protectors we should extend our hand and thank them for their service. These men and women are at war everyday. God bless them. The citizens who complain are the usually first to dial 911.
they are not at war everyday.... the marines and soldiers in iraq and afghanistan are at war everyday.. the uc police are lazy and will hire anyone including fat women
