Dog Park

With the success of the annual Doggie Dash I think it would be most appropriate for Schertz to provide a dog park for this area. Provide a coffee bar there for the parents & make it profitable. What fun for all!!

I would LOVE to have a dog park here in Cibolo so that I don't have to keep driving to McCalliseter every other weekend!

A dog park would be a fantastic idea. I realize they can cost alot in insurance but if the signs all say 'Enter At Your Own Risk', why not.

My husband and i have talked about this many many times, a dog park thats closer would be a great idea!

If some of the apartments around here have them then why don't the sub divisions or the city? I think the area between the park and Cibolo Creek by the train tracks would be a great place.

YES!!!i dog park is a GREAT idea!!!!We definitely need one so residents dont have to drive all the way out to McAllister and Pearnall all the time. So a dog park is a definite YES!!It will be better for everyone and lots of fun!:D

please please PLEASE get a dog park in Cibolo!!!I think somewhere in Schertz or in between the two also would be a good idea.But either way it will be closer to current Cibolo and Schertz residents and I LOVE the idea!We certainly need one.

Ok. Definitely.yes yes yes yes & YES!!!!I cant say it enough.we NEED a dog park!!!!if we get one, i suggest we get a couple small, shallow ponds or pools for the dogs to swim in in summer or something.And maybe an agility course and exercise equipment.Oh!and a dog water founian.you know, fun stuff like that.

the way i see it is our public park in NB and other small parks around the ares are filthy people just cannot clean up after making cute lil picnics and big bar-b-ques, what gives anyone an idea for an ideal park for dogs in a matter of time it would be covered in dog crap and grafitti from teens and kids. like the city would even consider to throw money away on something like that when these roads are bearly getting fixed..

If people don't have the common decency to clean up their mess, then there should be fines for not cleaning up after having a party or BBQ or not picking up after your dog. If there is a dog park in the Schertz/Cibolo area it should be restricted access. Since the park will obviously be gated to keep dogs from running away, people who wish to access the park could have an electronic gate key that they purchase from the city for a reasonable price. This way the city can also ensure that the dog has all of its updated vaccinations and has a good temperament.The park will also have several bins and scoops in the area for dog waste. Maintaining the dog park could be put under community service hours for local high schools or people who need to work a certain number of community service hours -- even volunteers could help out.
Most of the people who want a dog park care enough about their dogs and the community to not put up with a filthy area.
Done right and with care, you can have a great dog park in wonderful condition. Every problem eventually has a solution.
