This comapany descended on Mena , AR right after the tornado destroyed the town, approaching the shell shocked residents with a claim of a free estimate. They send that estimate to your insurance company and then when you get your insurance settlement, they quote you an outrageous price to fix your roof. If you don't agree to use them for your repairs they threaten to sue you for 20% of your entire insurance settlement. BEWARE!

Please excuse Mr Bills. My name is Nicholas Piper , President of River Bend Construction. We are a General Contractor that handles insurance restoration. After my field supervisors had met with Mr. Bills and gave a written damage assesment of his property, Mr. Bills signed an agreement to hire us to handle his claim, meet his insurance company, negotiate prices and do the job for what the insurance company allows. We did everything we said we would and when it was time to build Mr. Bills backed out of his contract. Now we spent many man hours scoping the property doing an xactimate estimate ( an estimate program used by many insurance companies that is updated by xactimate) meeting with the insurance adjuster, negotiating prices for the insured to do the work and do it right. And when the time came to do the work Mr. Bills wanted to cancel and basically pocket as much insurance money as he could. So yes, we lived up to our end of the agreement and Mr. Bills did not so yes, he owes 20% cancellation. My men do not get paid unless we build jobs. So for him to knowingly try to cancel after all the hard work we put into his claim is unfair to the men that have children to feed. Now feel free to check us out. We are liscensed, bonded, insured, the only roofing contractor in Arkansas HAAG Engineered Certified to handle roof inspections, we even opened a satellite office in Mena due to the high volume of calls so we had a place for our reps to work closer than our corporate officein Van Buren Arkansas. We have an A rating with the BBB, in which Mr. Bills tried to put a complaint against but was denied due to proof of written agreement with my company, and of course our good reputation in the area - Im sorry Mr Bills has ill feelings towards River Bend, but he has to understand that we are not a non-profit organization and he should not have chose us to be his General Contractor to begin with. Mr Bills unfortunately is not a man of his word and does not live up to his agreements and I will not allow my men to work so hard for people for them to be ripped off by people who would rather pocket their insurance money then have their work done. We pride ourselves in being one of the premier insurance restoration contractors in the great state of Arkansas and will continue to do so for long to come.

The bottom line is:
Riverbend wanted over $18,000.00 to repair my roof after the tornado damaged it. This same roof was completely replaced five years ago to include two extra outbuildings and a skylight intallation for just $9,000.00.
I rejected the $18,000.00 estimate as price gouging in a federal declared disaster area. I found another roofer who DID repair my roof using materials that equaled or exceeded those promised by Riverbend and it only cost me $11,000.
If you want to overpay for a roofing job then go ahead and use Riverbend.
