I just read the story on Wood TV 8. How devastating. I pray the family can get some answers.

AGAIN ?? Another young Child is no longer with us in the Kent Co. and Surrounding area. This has seemed to become a epidemic these past few months. This also seems more then a little suspicious to me .. Wouldn't it had been dark by the time the mom contacted the Police ? I hate to speculate although seems that is what these days and times have come too. Blame The Parents First.. That in it self is a shame. It's just sad.. And i hope it turns out to be a SAD ACCIDENT and not criminal..

It is sad. What a beautiful child.

Standard police procedure is to determine cause of death, and if this child was murdered, they will rule out the family first.(or at least try to). I hope too that it was just a horrible accident, and not intentional.

There is alot more about this story at Woodtv.com . Woodtv reports that the mother of the young girl came accross the childs body at a cemetery around 10:30pm
From Woodtv:
"Police in the St. Joseph County town say Jodi Christine Parrack left her friends on E. 3rd St. around 4:45 p.m. Thursday on her bicycle.
Her mother reported her missing to police between 7 and 8 p.m. that night. The search began for the girl.
Police say Jodi's mother came across her body in the Constantine Township Cemetery just after 10:30 p.m. Thursday".

Hmmm this does not add up to me.
When my 10 year old son came up missing a couple of years ago an Amber alert was issued and I was advised to say at home and wait for any phone calls or additonal information or in case my child returned to the home.I was told that going out scouring the nieghborhood could mess up any needed information.I did what I was told and my son was found safe at a friends home.Hmmmm how did she know to look for her child at the cemetery Hmmmm, and why did it take so long for her to report the child missing. It is dark at 7pm and 8pm makesthe child was missing for 2 hours or better. At dark HMMMM it makes me wonder.

The cemetery could have been next to her house?, it could have a bike/walking path next to it (like the one on Prairie in Grandville does)? It could have been where the friends split up at last.........we don't know the area well enough to know the details. The girl could have told her mom she would be at her friends house until 7pm, mom would have no idea that she wasn't and would have no idea she should be worrying about her.......
We just don't know.
What we do know is we should keep this family in our prayers today, after the facts and more details come out and the mother is found guilty of something somehow, then we can bash her. I will be first in line for that. But until then, we need to think how we would feel if our child was suddenly taken from us.
Many of the parents who will post on this story have lost (meaning their children DIED through accidental injuries) and this story will mean a lot to them.

The place is small town but with a lot of traffic North to South. I hope it was a medical rather that an assault. If the later, she either knew the person or it is a stranger (rare). Mom finding her bothers me a bit as the Police should have gotten the information of where she was and traced routes back to her house. After 2-3 hrs. the Police should have patrolled that area and found her or her bike along the way. Mom must live near that cemetery to find her that fast. Again, a small town.

My prayers go out as I too have an 11 year old girl. Obviously there is a lot more to the story that will be revealed but did anyone else find rather odd the FBI is ALREADY in on the investigation?

1. Many many prayers and thoughts are with this family.

2. Does anyone else feel that bringing a child into the world today is a very scary thing? I can't even begin to imagine the pain of someone taking one of my boys, someone harming them in any way or losing one of them. We hear about these stories all around the world and when they hit so close to home it is terrifying.

Wow... I'm sitting here with a tear in my eye hoping that whoever did this will be brought to justice NOW. We need to purge our society of the kind of vermin that does these things.

I'm totally with you, but how do you suppose we do that? Our state (and many others) don't have a death penalty and if you read the headlines enough, you'll notice that many criminals (murderers, rapists and such) are getting out on "good behavior" just to go out and do it ALL OVER AGAIN. Like I said, I'm totally with you on this, but how is that gonna happen?

My thoughts and prayers go out to this family and the whole town. I have family from there, and I know the town isn't very big, so I'm sure this is affecting the entire community.

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Gemini

Beware of taking on too much because it will be an effort to get through it all. You might even have to give up the unequal struggle, which won't do much for your ego or your reputation. Be especially careful about this if you're at work because a certain person may try to take advantage of what they see as your weakness or failure to deliver the goods.
