Had a great time at the fair last night. Saw a lot of friends and had a funnel cake! Looking forward to seeing the fairshow tonight, too!

love the fair

Love the fair . Like the show at the pavilion, just wish they would quit singing the same 50s music year after year after year.I mean the people that listen to that music are too old to go to fair or have left by the time the show starts to go to bed. I do love the performers though.

Wow.I had a different impression about the fair from my son.My son called and said he got there around 7:30 or 8 and it was nice. Then it started sprinkling and lightning and they were shutting rides down. Also said they told him they were not going to have the concert and he ask if they would give him a refund because that's w hy he came. They said they wouldnt do that.So he left. So,did they have the concert?I know the fair can't control the weather but at the same time,if a family came to ride rides and it was nice when they got there and shut rides down 30 minutes later,at least give them tickets to come back another night. Not if it's around 10 or 11 at night and people have been there about 3 hours and rode most of the night, could see not getting a refund or another night.Even if I take my son and friends out of this equation, don't think it's fair for a family to come have a great time,be there 15 minutes and start shutting rides down and not get to do anything.So..Did they have the concert?

That's what I was told.Again,I know the fair can't control the weather but I'm sure Bucky still got paid .But still, when a family goes to the fair and spends 60 dollars to get in and about 10 dollars in gas from dyersburg, but doesnt matter where a family is from. And then has about 15 minutes there with no rides or no show, that's the same thing as the Fair stealing from these people. If not wanting to give them their money back.at least a pass to bring the kids or family again.

mad wrote: Why is the girl in the ticket booth so rude to everyone ? not customer service Maybe she was fulfilling Community Service work for some crime she committed... those are usually the ones who are so rude, because they don't wanna be there. Or maybe her parents are making her work for her spending money. Who knows... she may think she's too good to work -- the world is full of people like that. Unbelievable.

I wnt to the fair last night with my family and was there for about 30 minutes and was told that the concert was canceled and saw rides closing down.I ask for a refund and they said they don't give refunds.I ask them about giving us a pass for a later date and they said they didnt do that.Stole our money as well.I told them that it was a s--tty the way they were doing people.Won't ever go back to Obion Co.Was told Gibson Co doesn't charge to get in.The Obion Co Fair Ass. should do better than this.Like the poster above.Wasn't like it was toward the end of the night.

I understand what people are saying about the fair this year, it gets worse every year. i have been three nights and out of the three i have witnessed the girl in the new ticket building being rude to the person in front of me and didn't seem to happy to take my money. so last night i just went in through the front. it seemed the customers were distracting her from some guy she had in there with her. As much as it cost we need a smile, not an attitude

At 6:30 it was obvious it was going to rain. It wasn't a surprise. And it's not stealing. They had no intention of taking your money and giving nothing. It's just a risk you take when you go to the fair when the forecast calls for storms. If it had been sunny, I'd be sympathetic.

Guess what? The winds started blowing in dyersburg around 7;00,it got cloudy and looked like it was going to rain. But it didn't.And my son was already in UC by that time.Genius

Like the poster above said.Go to a resturant.Maybe looks like you're going to get waited on but you don't and they bring you a bill for 50.00 for about 4 or 5 people.I guess you're going to pay for that.No services were rendered at either place. Please everyone. It's cloudy tonight.Everyone look at the clouds.Don't go to the Obion co Fair.Give or send all your money to me.You'll get just as much bang for you bubk.At least I will.

I still enjoy going at least one night to see old friends I don't get to see any other time. But it is noticeable that the downtrodden people are always gathered around the OCCHS concession stand. Why would anyone want to eat beans at the fair? Laugh.

I agree on the beans, maybe it will be a good night and it won't rain. maybe everyone can buy tickets without the employees being rude tonight . i would probably go to the front ticket booth and not the new one . they really need to take care of that situation where people will come back.
