All the people I have known smoked weed and They always ending up doing worse things. What happens if they smoke so much, that weed won't do for them anymore??? There going to lead to the worst of the drugs. Such as, pills, alcohol, and etc.

How about with all this "Green" talk going on we just legalize weed. For starters we could make ethanol out of hemp. Tax the pot smokers and solve the social security problem. If weed is a "gateway" drug then so are booze, cigarettes, advil, cough syrup, red bull, coffee, unisom etc.

Think of this... Let's compare how many lives weed has claimed and how many lives tobacco and alcohol has clamied? Hmmm.... I say LEGALIZE it. It's natural. I think it's the pharmaceutical companies that need to be stopped...not the marajuana smokers!

Prohibition didnt work the first time and it is not working this time. It just creates violent gangs that the government then uses as an excuse to sieze our liberty.

Some are saying weed is good for you and that it is medicine, but I disagree. It makes you feel like your problems are really no big deal, so that instead of dealing with your problems, you smoke weed to deal with it. That's how my mom does, anyway. Instead of getting a job to fix the holes in the floors, she smokes pot so that the holes in the floors don't bother her. Also I heard that people who used pot to cure depression found themselves more depressed than before. I think that makes sense b/c what i learned in school was that drugs release those endorphins (the chemical in your brain that makes you feel happy) in larger amounts than would naturally occur, then after those endorphins are released, it takes your body a lot longer to build them back up, making it harder for you to feel happy w/out the drug. So that you become dependent on the drug to feel even a little bit happy. It may seem like a "funner life" -as dude put it- to get high, but it ends up that life is only funner for the time that you are high, and not the least bit pleasant the rest of the time. Which could explain why stoners are always looking forward to the next high. You lose the ability to be happy w/out the drug.

I think all drugs should be legalized. The people that chose to drink will, the people that chose to smoke or take drugs will. It could be taxed, it would end alot of the gang BS, lower the inmate population, which is paid by tax payer money. It does not mean you would have to lower drug testing standards, if it was a dangegous job or what ever. Eliminate welfare except for children & old folks, so stoners that could not get a decent job, would have to clean up their act or work at a menial minimum wage job or on the internet, starting stupid blogs!

Yeah then our gov. is to high to do anything, There's nothing we can do about having a Twacked out gov. Because its legal. That shit makes you go crazy. darrell wrote: <quoted text>your mom still smokes, so what difference would it make if it was legal? Because if it was legal, she wouldn't know she was doing something wrong. Right now, she does know that it's wrong and talks about quitting. If it were legal, more people would think it was okay, too. Also, she might not mind some of the bad side effects that come with the drug (such as the depression and lower living standards), but her kids who have to live with her are being robbed of the life that they should have. And when social workers come to her house, she has to hide her habit. So I think the fact that it's illegal - even though she still does it - is a deterrent, because some day she will realize that it's not helping her like she thinks it is.
