Obviously none of you are running the news paper. None of you would be talking all this smack if you were one of the four people in there all day six days a week working to get two publications out on time every week. I've been in there on dead line day and they do bust their butts. So unless you are in there day in and day out working I don't think you should be saying anything about it.

The last post on this subject was Monday 30 MAR 09 which had little to do with the original start of this post, before that it was 23 Jan 09.

Ok, not so smart on my part. My last sentence should read: Notice the sentence about dead line day? Hello, deadline is ONE word. Whoo, that's better. I'll probably get slammed for that one, but obviously I EDIT my typing or I would never have noticed I screwed it up.

Also, the paper isn't that big and it is mostly ads. How hard could it be to copy down the minutes from a city council meeting? If you have nothing important to write about (e.g. the editorial) then leave it out. I struggled to get through the Editorial today because it was so poorly written. From run-on sentences to fragments of sentences the article was virtually impossible to read. It was less than compelling to put it nicely. I don't really know anyone personally who works at the Ulysses News, nor do I know anyone who works at the Gazette. I do know, however, that Carla is so much more friendly than anyone I have encountered from the Snooze. I feel that those at the Ulysses News are still riding the business that Carla left behind. If they don't watch out, the Gazette will be the premier paper in town.

I assume a lot that is what most people call intuition, it is not an individual being an ass, it is what I and most use to judge people, circumstances and situations, it is our right as a human being. We, the people use our intuition every second of every day.

As far as me doing well at my job, try taking your own advice and stop assuming! I can honestly tell you that I do just fine at my job, and your poor attempt to try and justify your criticism towards anyone that does not agree with you shows your own hypocrisy. You need to stop quibbling by bring up the fact that you have lived in 29 different states; I have been all over the world and for you to completely insult the people in Ulysses just shows your ignorance. I have yet to find people as kind, generous and open as the people in Ulysses.

I would much rather be a big fish in a small pond than a little fish everywhere else! You are a little, tiny fish anywhere you go!

You've lived in 29 states? My God woman, are you a gypsy? I've lived in five and thought I got a round a bit too much. Anyway, I agree with Ninja. I do my job pretty well. I haven't been all over the world, but I have been in jail in Mexico and let me tell you, Ulusses is a lot better than that! And that small fish thing? I wouldn't worry about it. When a big ol large mouth pass sucks in a minnow, the minnow kind of sits back there in the gut a bit wondering what the heck happened, then the stomach acids and lack of oxygen gradually do him in. It's probably a bit of a relief, actually. Oh, and I saw one spit out a snake once, so you may be in luck!!

After reading one of the articles in today's paper, I may cancel my subscription and demand a refund of the balance. The current "assistant managing editor" wrote the following paragraph:

"Finally there is another place to take your computers in town, without having to go to the bank and take out a loan for the charge."

Who are you to state that, knowing who the other person or persons in town who fix computers?? If I was the person or persons you are dissing I would NOT put another advertisement in your pathetic little rag, EVER again. They should re-name your title to "someone who doesn't give a damn about her paycheck assistant".

I don't like the prices of anything anywhere, but to publicly punch someone in the gut like that is insane, for someone in your position.

Oh yea, and by the way, if only 29% of the city/county surveys were filled out and mailed in, that must mean that the other 71% of the city/county didn't give a damn enough about it to fill it out.
