Wow Aunt Sharon, it sounds like our families are in the same type of careers. Yes, this type of working around killers and such is very draining on a person that has morals and values.

Hello Aunt Sharon: I would like to share an interesting topic with you.
If a child was abused during their childhood and this abuse included many different types of abuse, would it be reasonable for them, in their adult years, to share this with trusted family members or friends and try to reach out for help from them?
If indeed this were to actually happen, could this child/adult's claims possibly freak out the person or persons that did the abuse?
Since we both work in law enforcement, I would just like to hear your thoughts regarding such a situation as this? I am only putting this in an hypothetical form.

Take care and God Bless
Jerry

Hi Jerry, You pose some hard questions. I can only give you what I have witnessed.Yes, it would be reasonable for a person to reach out. However, many don't, because they are to embarrassed about the situation or they remain in the mind set of there abusers, not to tell anyone. Alot of people stop growing emotional at the time of abuse. They try and place those memories in a dark carvern in the back of there minds, thinking I am fine I don't have to deal with the problem. As for the abuser, most diffently they could freak. One they might be thinking they have gotten away with the crime. 2. They have been worried about getting caught for a long time and they thought it was no longer such a threat then slam there it is. 3. As you well know, a person can put on a great act when they are guilty of sin. 4. They might be a changed person, and tried to forget the things they have done. They were probably pretty sucsessful about pretending it did not happen do to their guiltly feelings and then the victim say's something and the truth hits them like a hammer. Not only does everyone else know, but know they have to face their abusive behavior and there is no where to hide. Hope I could help. I hope all people reach out for help,it took me 50 years. God Bless You and Yours.

Thank you Aunt Sharon and fully agree with what you have shared with me. Abusers are hiders and when or if they are exposed, they almost always blame the victim of their demented minds. Their vicims serve a life sentence regarding the horrors the abuser has slammed into their minds and yes, it takes years for the abused to speak out.
Even though many abusers think they have got away with their heinous crimes agaisnt another, Christ is waiting for them to explain themselves to Him and proper judgement will then be applied to these criminals.
It's just mind boggling when I think of situations where a parent has actually abused their child. God did not give them this child for their sick pleasure.
I thank you again for taking the time to share their thoughts regarding this matter.

God Bless
Jerry

Jerry, could not have said it better myself. Here is something I like to think about.

I will praise the LORD at all times.
I will constantly speak his praises.
I will boast only in the LORD;
let all who are discouraged take heart.
I prayed to the LORD, and he answered me,
freeing me from all my fears.

PSALM 34: 1-4
I wish all victims would take this to heart. Especially the children I know how it feels.

Aunt Sharon: Thank you so very much for the wonderful prayer. God's Word is often the only thing that gets us through this dark and evil thinking and acting world.
When I think of my much beloved Cousin, John, I cannot help but reflect back on his laughing and savoring life. Then, of course, in comes the thoughts of the evil and dark person who took Johns laugh and complete life.
If I were to ever even think (which I am thankfully incapable of doing) of taking the life of one of my children, God forbid, I am certain I would, instead, just take my own life.
I know you are normal and cannot answer this, but how on earth could a person ever take the life of a child our good Lord sent us, and then instead of standing in shame, they go public, find some supporting non-believers and make the victim and the victims friends and supporting relatives the villians? Thank God we cannot answer this, if we could, it would point the figner towards us thinking as the justifying killer thinks.
Murder is unforgivable (while still on earth), but the murder of ones own child!!!!!!!!!!
I do believe our Lord has a certain plan for such wickedness. In fact, I know our Lord does.
Well our dearest friend and Christian family, I have to get ready to put on the stars and trinkets and head out to the razor wire so I can make sure those who do such acts as we desbribe dont have their rights violated. Gee, this sarcasm is sometimes kinda fun, no wonder that all
our repliers seem to use.
I wonder what college offers the sarcasm bachelors degree. Our repliers actually seem to have acquired a PHD on this talent.

God Bless and as we know: Do not render evil for evil, vengence is the Lords.

Hi Jerry and Arlene, You are right I cannot answer that question. It is unthinkable to me. I love children, everybody's children so I just can't imagine. I do not believe our Lord will just forgive such a horrible crime. One of the Mothers Of Murdered Sons and Daughters said, her husband slit their two year old babys throat. Thank God for those razor wires. Thank God for people like you and your wife who has what it takes to deal with these inmates. Yes, by all means do not let anyone step on the rights of the inmates. Don't you find it funny, how worried they are regarding their rights after the atrocious appalling things they have done. You put on those Stars and Trinkets and wear them with pride for God will bless you for keeping his children safe. ISAIAH 41:10 Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.
God Bless, Be Careful and Take Care. I will keep your family in my prayer's.

Good day Aunt Sharon: I wanted to share something with you that makes me happy.
I just finished putting my Uncle Gary and his wife Aunt Betty's name into my yahoo and msn search engine and hit search. Guess what, Up comes the
"Good ole boy defense" for the entire world to read. It pleases me that msn and yahoo offer such a service as to share these horrible and morbid incidents with the world we live in.

God be with you and we love you in Christ.

You are a little punk who enjoys seeing a young man killed so you can laugh on your postings and insult those who are related to John.
I will try to forgive you for laughing and insulting my dead friend and loved one.

I do hope you never have to feel my end of this.

You're in the mood to spend money on a favourite hobby or pastime today, so take care if you're supposed to making every penny count at the moment. The temptation to treat yourself to something that you'll undoubtedly enjoy will be too strong to resist, and the trouble is that you might not restrict yourself to just one item either.
