You really think he thought it was a real deer? No, he did not. He was also driving without a valid license so why wasn't his wife driving? He does not have a valid license for a reason....so?
Our wildlife is managed for a reason, not for people like him. He should get his hunting and fishing privalages taken away for two years, at least. But he will probably get a slap on the wrist so he can go on his merry way and poach again and not teach his children the real meaning of hunting, which is fair and LEGAL game, chase and being humane, hunt for food. If you shoot it, you eat it.
