Lots of worse ways to go than while doing something one loves.

Hunt with a buddy. Might not have saved him, but at least he wouldn't have been up in the tree so long. And I agree, the best way to go is doing what you like.

One of the problems with the anonymity of posting on a web site is that people say things they would never say in public. ie. Cru Jones. This hunter was fortunate for die doing what he enjoyed. I hope his family finds peace.

The heading just gets me "Ohio Hunter found dead in tree stand" It was natural causes. Why do they have to sensationalize it? Could have used "man dies from heart related causes" "mans death attributed to natural causes" Neither hunting or the tree stand had anything to do with his death.

Ahh yes, but the purpose of the headline is to make you want to read the article. Would you bother to read an article with the headline, "Man, 74, Dead of Natural Causes"?

good point CLD Worthington, but it makes you think that he was shot, which would be terrible.

3 score and 10. This guy was 4 yrs past that and could still actively hunt and climb into a tree stand. Everbody should be in that good of a shape at his age. He had a good life. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family

Maybe the real story is that this isn't really all that interesting to folks that don't know him and could have been in the obituaries. I suppose the don't make much advertising there, though.

You are quite an idiot.

The most dangerous animal on Earth is the deer. More people are killed by them than any other animal.

Hunters do a great service by keeping the heard to a managable level. If it weren't for the hunters more people would be killed by them.

The next time a car collides with a deer and it comes through the windshield and kills someone, think about what if a hunter had killed that deer.

Some people feel the need to push their agenda on everyone, no matter the sensativety of the situation.Plant or animal, it dies for man.
I'll bet his family enjoyed some tasty meats because of ol Grandad !
I know I enjoyed some fine meals thanks to my granddads hunting and fishing skills.

At first, I would've suspected foul play until I read the article. But this gentleman died doing what he loved. I agree that it is one of the "best" ways to go. But I'm sure his loved ones are grieving nonetheless. My heart goes out to his family.

Daily Horoscope for December 28

Scorpio

The thought of the sales is almost too good to resist today, and you'll jump at the chance to see what's on offer. Even better if you can snap up some bargains at the same time. It's certainly a good day for investing your money carefully, but make sure you aren't more seduced by the reduction in the cost of something than in the item itself. Are you certain that you want to buy it?
