Former Burlington official leaves post

That one isn't too hard to read between the lines.

I think its pretty funny that David Torgler

is finished at his job in Colorado. Torgler was a

complete pompous ass in Burlington as city

adminstrator. Apparently this attitude did

not work for him in Colorado. I hear that

Walmart & Wendy's is hiring. Either way

do Wisconsin a favor & stay in Colorado.

Maybe he could return as the Treasurer's Intern.

Dave Torgler just got fired from his city administrator job here in Leavenworth, WA, what is the deal with this guy? He lasted only 9 months here. No one is saying anything.

David Torgler has had a lot of jobs. I think he
must be good at writing resumes. I hope he writes
a book on resumes. I hope the book also has a
chapter on " How to keep a Job".

It is obvious that something is wrong when a city administrator is fired from two jobs (one after another) in less than a year (both times) and somehow managed to stay at Burlington for nine years. What shenanigans were going on that that was allowed? Who was he in bed with that his incompetence, arrogance, and anger went unacknowledged for so long? Everybody had trouble getting along with this man in Burlington and yet nothing was done. Burlington needs to get its act together. It's policies have been corrupt for a long time and this guy helps to prove it.

fired again. he did well in burlington though. he

fit in with the corrupt status quo. best of luck.

Corrupt mayor? How about TWO corrupt mayors? Claude Lois is still pulling the strings in Burlington much like Putin has been in Russia the last few years--disguising himself as a modern man who is pro-democracy when in reality he is nothing but. The City of Burlington has been and continues to be an oligarchy run by a few old, white businessmen who have nothing better to do with their time then vie for money and power (what little of both Burlington has anyway...which is pretty sad). The current mayor may hold the political title but it's the old mayor who still has the power and is running the show. Everyone knows it and is disgusted with the system. Bridget is finally leaving the City and going to Brown Deer so hoepfully that will lessen the problem. Hopefully Claude gets a REAl job soon and leaves Bob Miller to his elected position: MAYOR.

How interesting that of all of the 14 catty and sarcastic comments above, only one comes from Burlington and only half are even from the state of Wisconsin.

And as far as the idea of this "dishonest" guy going to Chicago, those are REAL criminals in the Daley Crime Family. He wouldn't last a day among those cut throat SOB's.

From the reports in the local paper Torgler got blindsided. No warnings, no issues and a mayor seeking full time pay. He worked well with many people! I wonder why some people have a vendetta for this hard working guy.

I beg to differ with "Junk Happens." I think he'd fit in fine with the Daley Crime family. In fact, that's not such a bad idea.....

Here it is July and Torgler is still looking for a job. Maybe he could put his wife to work.

Almost a year later - and still TOrgler is without a job. What goes around, comes around.
