Does anyone know where can I get natto online, or near Twin Falls?

Natto as in the Japanese rotten beans?

The Natto from www.asianfoodgrocer.com has high fructose corn syrup and monosodium glutimate (bad things).

The MSG and corn syrup if it shows up on the ingredients is usually in the sauce packets which you can choose not to put on the Natto

you can buy extremely delicious, pure natto from Kendall Food Co. in Massachussests (Yoko and Charles). 4132385928.

I would guess the hfcs and msg are in the sauce that comes with it. Just through the packages away and eat the natto with your own sauce.

Thank so much you Andrea. i just read about the health benefits of natto and i am so excited! i didn't realize it was so hard to find. Thank you so much for posting this site!

Somebody mentioned that msg and corn syrup is in soy sauce not natto, however if you guys notice the list of ingredients. there is soy, corn syrup, msg, THEN! soy sauce with it's own list of ingredient in perenteses listed. So those nasties are in natto (not in soy sauce....say sauce has some more).
I also have been looking for a healthy natto, but it's possible that nowadays you have to make your own because there is no such thing as healthy old fashioned commercial product. It happened to many typical foods now where the traditional is extinct! Especially lactofermented things are really hard to find. There are chemicals and especially corn syrup added to everything edible :(

Well natto is fermented and fermentation is a part of something going "rotten"

Sushi is a combination of Shari (vinegared rice) and neta (raw meats, vegetables, or eggs)
And rotten soybeans and fermented soybeans are two very different things.
