Cold Springs Residents Evacuated by Wind-Driven Fire

My friends and relatives have a Cabin out side of Long Barn.I am glad it wasen't over that way.

NEWS10 -- what is wrong with this paragraph?

Kaslin said the blaze tarted as a controlled burn that got away, quickly sweeping beyond one property into adjoining properties. The person responsible had not been found late Friday, but Kaslin said that person would be cited with the cost of the firefighting efforts.

The article states this was a controlled burn that got out of control. It was VERY windy here yesterday, so why would anyone in their right mind burn at all on a windy day??????

In Placer County burn days are allowed not by the Fire Departments but by the Air Pollution folks. The windier the better in their opinion since the smoke flies fast and far. It's the truth, check it out.
