Yes, it was poor judgement. But, what a whiny owner. If this has happened now a total of 9 times and you are "losing business" and "suffering stress", get either a better sign, better placement of that sign, or better security around the sign so that it doesn't happen again.

What an idiot owner! I go to Bemidji quite a bit and have been to that lodge on a number of occasions. I will never go there again. I urge everyone that reads this article to stay away from this place and let this fool of a business owner go under. Lonnie you are a complete fool and a moron!

I live in Bemidji and I have never even heard of this place. But, I will make it a point never to set foot in there. What a whiny fool the owner is!

This situation could have been settled behind closed doors. Stealing the letter "A" was wrong but the owner was 'asinine' for whining and going to court. She could have gotten a whole new sign out of it if she only kept her kool.

Well be glad she was just a bit whiny and wasn't vindictive like some posters on this forum. I mean after the first theft she could have had the sign wired so that it would electrocute the next person who tried to tamper with it.

I bet that's what some of you lot would have done.

Is the reason business was not as good becuase the sign said, "Snowfl ke" or "C fe"? and would this be an issue if it wasn't the goalie for the Dallas Stars??

Sheriff Anderson?? NO Sheriff by that name in Bemidji?? Cover ups, are u kidding me, i went to college in Bemidji, and Bemidji police are very strict and sticklers, with strict police enforcement!! I remember i had a roommate that got 2 minor consumptions, one was one week before his 21st birthday, he had to serve jail time because he got to 2 minors. He would go to class during the day, and report to the jail to serve time..... wow talk about strict......... shit i had buddies in the cities with 3 or 4 of thse suckers and didnt serve on lick of time, just paid fines.......... Climie is a good kid, who just did something really stupid, he stole the letter "A" wow what a crime, lets write a news article about this!! and to the store owner lodge..... I will be damn sure not to go anywhere near that place

actually there are two sheriffs by that name...father and son, the son was involved in a rape case and it was covered up. here is the link

But the disputed allegations are even uglier: The woman, a freshman who had just moved away from home to attend college, told police that one of the male students had given her a drink earlier that knocked her out and that the trio then raped her as the deputy and another man watched and recorded the scene.

On the cell-phone camera seized by police, "males can be heard yelling,'pillage her,' " according to criminal complaints charging now-suspended hockey player Riley S. Riddell, 23, and fellow students Scott E. Savre, 24, and Tyrone G. Orde, 23, with third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
