The whole point of preservation is a fraud. Mt Konocti has been at the public access Via a guided tour for a small fee. With the resent mountain lion attack and those in the past it surely will occur again. On the 50th anniversary of Clear Lake State Park the park rangers stressed not to disturb the wildlife inhabitants which include as they stated the MOUNTAIN LIONS... Mt Konocti is a habitat to mountain lion. With the proposed park will come all the fear like never before, the increased human traffic including school children will lead to increased fire danger and evacuation issues for the out lying communities. The rattle snakes are numerous and surely an emergency response will occur at some point. The extraction of injured parties will prompt a helicopter response. It will cost big bucks$$$ to opperate the park.

The insurance of our homes will increase accordingly.
Cal Fire and the local fire district have stated they have no involvement in the insurance issue, though they have altered the High Fire Hazard Severity Zone Map which now considers many communities to be in the newly designated wilderness area. The county cannot afford this trumped up fiasco anymore than the so called debunked Geysers Tour.

Last years fires produced so much smoke that you couldn't see Mt Konocti if you were standing on it. This year their has been few days considered to have a fare view. Clean up the lake... Thats what were about... Sorry never heard of Walden Park

Guess we will just have to wait and see won't we!
Personally, I believe in preserving. Furthermore, I believe our Lake should be first priority. This is what made Clearlake what it is today, and this is what brings the tourists from all the major adjoining communities as well as travlers throughout the world.

Oh wait, since there is absolutely NO water anywhere on the mountain that means minimal wildlife, guess you're wrong about that, just like you're wrong about the cost of running the park, which will be covered by the leases on the communication towers.

Tell your freak to the rangers at Clear lake State Park. Honest to goodness, are you ADA or mentally challenged? Your even in the Press Demo thanks to the net and Rodney M. By the attitude of you're responses, if I were you, Yeah, I would stay away from the public. But why don't you go climb the Mountain Mosses. I Think the tablets are in the bat cave behind the fur kitty cat... There are self help groups that could be helpful to you're condition, you must take the first step my friend. Do you smoke? Do you drink hard liquor or binge drink?

Oh, you are not going to get anyone to disclose to you by pointing out to them your version of what they should be thinking. It's judgemental my dear fiend, I mean friend. Catch yourself before you fall to far down that path. ;-}

Three Little Birds sit by my door step, singing sweet songs, a melody pure and true... This is a message for you. It's always been my nature to live with nature, not to trash it and put laws over it.

You seem to be calmly, however ganja aided, connecting to a higher truth. I know you knew how to be reasonable and tolerant of the rest of us little people. These are the moments I live for... it's a real breakthrough! ;-}

Also, if an embrace were there to bring you into the world each and every morning as you woke, the tender side of nature would emerge and engulf the disquieted spirit.

My midget friend past away last year. He referred to his friends lovingly as the little people. You try going into they're world, i suggest respect. I knew him for thirty five years and we remained friends till he left this world. As for the greatest little people true friends i think of "George Lucas Star Wars" and all he employed we must include Ron Howard, "Willow" and thanks to them we all have enjoyed an artistic connection.

Though you have expressed you're negative view of what you would like to believe i meant, you have been so wrong. Also text can mean many things. I suggest you clarify text like LOL, lots of luck, Love on line, Laughing out load, etc...

Great,

In my attempts to understand you, I'm sure I have come off sounding negative. Interestingly enough tho, I think your concerns for Mt Konocti, the "little people" and the quality of life in LC are quite admirable. ;-}

Phil has told all of you why the mountain has no value to anyone, but one or two lions and little else: No water. It is a big, hard, dry rock, period. You can look at it and is about it. All the rest of what is said about it is nonsense.

While I love Mt Konocti and actually live in a home built on the ancient flow of the mountain that came down. I fail to see the parallels to Walden Woods. We have no local poet that was inspired by this beautiful mountain but we do have the tribal history connected to it. That is enough for me. I DO NOT want to see our lovely mountain covered in more vineyards.
I enjoy fabulous views west over its flank and marvel at its hidden ancient secrets. This mountain does not need to be compared to other historical valuable national assets. It can stand on its own, we just need our local people to become involved in the preservation of their own local treasures.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Libra

An emotional situation is as clear as mud today. You aren't sure about your feelings for a certain someone, nor are you convinced that you know what they're playing at. They may be saying one thing and doing another, and you might even suspect that they're playing games with you or trying to get what they can out of the relationship. Or maybe you're imagining the whole thing? Admit it - at this stage you simply don't know.
