What gives him the right to do that to her!
What did she do for that to happen?!
Why did he go for her head too!
Thats why shes icu!
We all know any type of electrical shock to the head would put her in icu!
He should be dealt with properly for his neglagenc in the use of that taser!
Should have been more better trained in tasers!

As a law enforment officer, I can say the taser has prevented more injuries for officers and suspects. Unless you were there, you have no idea how she was tased in the head. She could have been falling down or trying to duck to avoid the taser. WHich would you rather have, to be tased for 5 seconds or a polyester pig pile fighting with you on the ground. You use common sense and tell me which one would result in less injuries. Point of the WHOLE story is she should have not ran, and maybe the parents should have done their job as parents instead of whining to the police department. For some reason everyone wants the police to raise their children, and when they dont like what we do, they complain. Raise you own children, we have other things to do.

Amen to that Fuzzball. Unbelievable, It blows my mind that someone would take there kid down to the police station to have them fix there problems. I hate to tell ya but you already screwed your kid up by not being a parent to begin with.Act like a parent, if you don't know how to do that then read a book, or how about this novel idea, DO NOT HAVE KIDS!! Then you complain when the police do their jobs! People complain about the police but then who do they call when they need help?? What if this officer had chased her and not Tased her, then she ran into the street, got run over and killed. Would he then be at fault for not doing enough?? It makes me sick to hear jackass's say crap like he used unneccasary force on this girl, when she ran from him and disobey a direct order. If you run from the police they should be able to tase you no questions asked. She got tased and a tip hit her in a bad spot, a bad thing, absolutely butis it his fault, NO. Bottom line is she ran and disobeyed a direct order, she got tased. Look at the cause not the effect of a situation. Trust me, you would rather get tased by me then for me to tackle and forcible cuff you! I would be willing to bet she'll think twice about acting up or ever running again! If it was my kid and one of them had the gall to do what she did and ended up in the same situation. I'd whip their butt as soon as they healed up from the taser! Panty waste, hypocrite ignorance is killing this country. Think about it.

I just watched a news reel that stated the mother was taking the child to the police station because she found explicit text messages and pictures the daughter was sending to an older man. The mother went to the station to get help with that not with raising her daughter.

Hope she finds good out of town lower to sue the crap out of old chief. Cops are like insurance adjuster, just more sociopathic; they must believe their own b.s.

OK, Fuzzball and bigweight, I used to be a cop too. But not anymore, If the Law wants respect it can give respect. True, we dont know the circumstances but I have seen too damned many young AHole Rambos that randomly use tazers just for the hell of it. Their badge is their brain and they are nothing but leagalised bullys on the public payroll. That is the reason I quit because those Bast===s are giving law a bad name. and if I am ever tazered for no reason or a trumped up reason I (promise) (Not threat) the Bast=== that does it had better NEVER give me a shot at him in the deer woods.

I dont think u can say shit like that bigweight. sounds like u have been to lonely with ur hands to say that you hate kids. maybe ur parents never liked u but that doesnt mean that inocent kids deserve to be punished after bein tazerd, she doesnt have to listen to the law if she came for help in the fist place. if i was the father i wouldave cornerd the a**hole that did that and tazer him in the head or better yet his nuts just so he never dares to do that ever again

First thing that was wrong here was the fact that the mother looked for help from the police. We see what that got her. Simple solution, Take the phone from the kid and punish her for the what she was doing. Since when is violence ok against a non violent act? Where was this girl going to run off to? HOME would be the answer to that. Police are too quick to use the taser in non threatening situations. One death by taser is one too many for me and if you are worth your salt, it should be for you as well. Hopefully the sheriff of the county that this took place in presses charges against the police chief for excessive force but we all know that won't happen. The Sheriff is the one with the ultimate control of what happens in his county, not the police chief. IANAL and have a great day!!!!

Excessive police force (no pun intended)

Good thing the kid didn't collapse in pain in the middle of the street, she could have been ran over by a car/truck. That would be unintentional manslaughter.

Dumb cop. Instead of dumb criminal.

Cop should be fired, the dumb ass.

I feel sorry for you people having fools like this coward on the police force.

He is totally useless and needs to be fired and prosecuted, then the convicts can explain to him in jail what he did wrong.

From what we out here read, she had a small disagreement with her mother, and in trying to get some guidance from a respected adult, she instead ran into a police officer.
Without realising that most police officers are comprised of complete fools that lack the ability to hold a real job, she wound up getting her daughter attacked.
In my opinion the daughter is just lucky the guy had not taken a Viagra or she might have been raped after being stunned into submission.
But the lesson here is simple. Never ask an idiot to do a mans job. Or at least thats my thoughts on it.
