1 And few if any local stations will sell the gas refined at this location, but we'll all pay for it! |

if there are any gasoline increases in the carlsbad stations, it won't be because of this pipeline.
gasoline from the navajo refinery goes to the northern part of the state. our gasolines come from around houston texas. |

All the other gas companies need is an excuse, and as soon as there is a burp anyplace, they increase prices, even if it doesn't affect them. |

Sounds like a good plan to me. An American produced and consumed product. The US needs to tap into its natural resources. We do not want to support Al-Qaeda and terrorist with reliance on foreign oil.

On that point I agree wholeheartedly. |

Fact is, the world is going to eventually run out of oil. Why not burn foreign oil first and save our reserves for later when everyone else has run out? |

With all the other things we use oil for or in the manufacturing of (besides fuel), its going to be real amusing to see how we react to that in the future. |

One hundred years from now the people occupying this planet are going to look back at us and ask, "Why did those fools have to burn so much of the petroleum?" I'm sure they will find synthetic substitues for petrochemicals, but I doubt if the synthetics will be as good as the real stuff. |

actually..navajoe has more than one refinery...it is just outside of Lovington, down the road from the old cheese factory.. |
|||
Actually, its only 40 million. A drop in the bucket. I would think that this budget is low. A pump alone for some of these pumping stations with its own motor control room can cost upwards easily of a million dollars each. |

Correct, but that refinery is known to us in the biz as the Lovington refinery and the one in Artesia is konwn as the Navajo refinery. Picky on my part, and if you want to describe me as anal-retentive, I will understand. |

Good point on draining other countries of reserves 1st, but at our expense. Why continue to support support countries that promote terrorism? Our country has developed new and improved technology in extracting oil from reservoirs once was thought to be uneconomical. Who wants to vacation in the OPEC counties or Venezuala? I wouldn't want to send my kids off to college in those countries. |
