City and county officials will be reviewing 3 additional hotel developments next year for the area around Libby in a response to a shortage of rooms in the mountain community. " This is a great win for Libby", an city official said, "It brings the opportunity to encourage people to stay and play in Libby". Currently Libby has around 120 rooms resulting in around 15,000 hotels stays per year. "The need for updated and newer rooms in critical for this recreational community".

Every year for the past 6 years, a cycling event (STOKR), has to limit registration due to the availability of rooms around Libby. " Its going to open up registration to our event". Several yearly events typically add pressured to the hotel availability in Libby. Recent attendance to NordictFest and Ignite the Nights have proved extremely popular.

" I look forward to having my family up every year" , said Libby resident Kim Richards, " More rooms during our big events would make it easier to have additional family member visit".

Henderson Properties just completed a Holiday Inn Express outside of Sand Point. When asked about possible development along Hi-way 2 a spokesperson said, " Its an undeserved corridor,( Idaho to Whitefish - along Hi-way 2), "we don't commit on future plans, but its something we are looking at".

"Even during the current economic down turn we have seen an increase in visits to Libby. We will continue to provide the best recreational and natural experience".

Libby lies in the northwest corner of Montana and is nestled in a valley carved by the Kootenai River on the flank of the majestic Cabinet Mountain Range and Wilderness Area. Today about 2,800 people live within Libby proper. The main industries are tourism, recreation, lumber, wood products, and mining,.

Because of all of the issues we have in libby... past asbestos contamination is no longer on the list. Just like you, (remember - you dont live here anymore), we have moved on and improved our community with the help of the EPA. So sorry you don't get that.

Past exposure never left Libby Mr.Chambers.The trees are just full of Tremolite. The banks of the River and all the creeks is lined with Tremolite asbestos and each time the train rolls in and out, ALL of Libby is recontaminated and all are reexposed.Don't take a rocket scientist to figure that out...once you get past the lies. The other day I drove by Rainy Creek and all of a sudden there was this BIG GUST of wind, not quite a micro burst but maybe 30 to 40 MPH and all I could see was the dust, sky FULL of Tremolite asbestos all heading down Rainy Creek and to the River and then into town.I was just awful Dusty.Kinda like you...And the Parker property is so contaminated like everything else that all those millions are for nothing. That home across the river, you all killed them and I can't believe you would allow this after all of the Parkers are sick and dying.Oh I forgot Money is the issue in Libby and killing more people is not.I do hope Dusty that someday all of you will be held accountable for what you do...Please do not move to Libby anyone, this town is a death town full of heartless people.Heartless.EPA also hasn't stopped killing people which they began in the 70's.Libby is a town of test rats.

I don't know when and how you do your breathing, mike crill, but I know where not to go and I stay away from places that have asbestos. If I go there and breathe it in, I have noone to blame but myself.
This is not to demean those who caught the desease in the apstpast, they have my sympathies. All they were trying to do was earn money to feed their familiesand now they are suffering. My compassion and regret go out to them. And while there still needs a lot to be done to compensate these individuals, I do not think that badmouthing Libby is any help at all !

Just a little typo, I assume. Should it not read "undeRserved" rather than "undeserved ?" I sure hope so...:)

mike crill, I see you live in Ashburn, Va. now. You must miss Libby very much to be still so passionate about it. I used to live in your area but I feel a lot safer here. In case of an attack, you are in the crosshairs there. Worse things would be drifting your way....

Hi Montanabear.Glad to see you jump aboard this site of denial.Sure have no problem figuring out who is telling the truth.IF you have read most of my warnings for people/families to stay away from Libby is mainly because someone should of and could of told my family what they have to look forward to some 30 years down the road when one day you ALL wake up to someone telling you the truth as to why your entire family is sick and dying.EPA and OSHA Knew people in Libby/me were being exposed and that the rats they gave Tremolite/Libby asbestos to...DIED FROM MESOTHELIOMA.But the killing of people continued even when testing the rats stopped.AND today...NOTHING has changed.Same liars, same corrupt people who still suck off WR Grace and continue to kill more people.Libby is a WR Grace town and the same players are playing the same game at the cost of more human life.More entire families. What part of that do any of you NOT understand. You all can't be that stupid or brain dead.Sometimes I have to wonder...and I do.Oh and I do not live in Va. I live in Missoula and damn rights I moved from that hell hole of a death town when my first grandson was born as I sure as hell would not want him to be exposed to what is killing me and his dad(my son) as Libby has killed three generations of my family.Libby killed all of us and when Libby continues to kill, gee, I guess someone ought to give a shit and do what should of been done in 1999.STOP people/families from moving to Libby until Libby is made safe if it ever can be.I say Libby will never be safe to anything that breathe.Where else in the US of A is there a town with over 2000 people ALL sick and dying from the same thing by the same people.Again...nothing in Libby is safe. Most of us here in Mt are here for a reason and it does have something to do with gun powder and our rights to bear arms.Being a supporter of MOM...don't take 20 minutes to mobalize if the shit ever hits the fan.Keep the powder dry...Anyway Montanabear, nothing wrong with telling the truth specially when the truth will save your life and the lives of ALL who breathe the deadly air of Libby Mt.Funny how such truth can be so hard to tell the truth.I have had NO problem since 1999 and even in 1990 but it is what we do today to change tomorrow for the sake of those we leave behind.Sure ain't moving to Libby being lied to.What is wrong with these people.Asbestos does affect the brain too.I just want the killing of more people to stop. What part of that...don't any of you understand...Unreal.

Your heading across the line from just being stupid to pathetic and on your way to flat out madness. You piss and moan knowing all along whatever you think should happen to Libby - never will.
It kills you that Libby is getting better and moving forward. Mike Crill will just be part of the dust near a lake in Libby and Libby will continue and move on. People will never rely on Mike Crill for any information on Libby. They just cant believe how hateful one person could be. You tried your best on this and other web sites to discredit Libby, but did more harm to your own reputation. Now no one can tale anything you would say or write seriously.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Scorpio

A loved one is extremely upset today, and you'll soon know all about it. Things are out of proportion, so a minor hitch becomes a huge drama that means you've got to drop everything in order to calm them down. Hey ho. At least it won't last long. If you're doing some last-minute Christmas shopping, you won't have as much patience as usual and nor will anyone else.
