On our way to Libby

This will be our 6th year visiting Libby Montana for the Thanksgiving holiday. Myself and my wife and 3 kids have been visiting my brother since he moved in 2002. Looking at this web site you would think that Libby has hundreds of detractors who are calming Libby a "Death Town", not so. There seems to be only one misinformed individual who looks like he spends all of his time sending responses to anyone who disagrees with him. Reviewing his post I agree that he may have an axe to grind with something, but I don't know why he thinks its Libby. Im all for open and constructive dialog in any form, but this attempt to ignore the improving situation in Libby is just unacceptable. If anything he has caused people to reexamine the issues of Libby, as I have, and come away with the same conclusion - Libby is no more dangerous that any place in America. We will be looking at land around Libby in the spring to consider our retirement selections for the future. I don't discourage him from continuing to post his beliefs, but like any one who post questionable information - discover for yourself.

This is a fact that YES,Libby does have many defractors.2000 PLUS people/men/women and children and of course grandchildren.WHERE else in the USA does thousands of entire families,entire generations of family,ALL sick and dying all from the same thing BY the same people who continue to sell Libby as a safe place to live and kill your family AND MORE PEOPLE.ARE YOU ALL THIS FRICKIN STUPID???? IGNORANT? IF YOU have children,would you knowingly throw them into a Nazi Gas Chamber??? KNOWINGLY....Libby IS that GAS CHAMBER because the air still kills you and your entire family and all the kids.WHO cares???? Why DO I care? WHY DON"T YOU ALL CARE??? I promise all of you moving to Libby,you will wish you had listen to me when it is too late.I told you so...all of you so because Libby has killed me and MY FAMILY and ALL my friends and a town that once was the most beautiful place, until 1999 when we all learned the TRUTH/HELL, AS TO WHY WE ARE SICK AND DYING.From not being told the truth.And since then...NOTHING/NOTHING has changed.Libby may be cleaner but Libby is far from clean if it can ever be clean and safer does not mean safe which Libby is far from safe.I would expect to see something out of HUNDREDS of MILLIONS spent taking 10 years.What about all the trees within a 20 mile circle from the mine site.You have to care about that don't you.Specially when the wind blows everyday all ending up in poor dead Libby again and again and again.What kind a Dr are you Doc? I am so glad we have so many psychics in our midst. Hindsight anger is what is frickin' stupid.
Why don't you take all that energy and do something constructive with it.
You will get no respect sitting on your ass in front of your computer ranting like a small-minded moron.
Go...help them clean up or stop the use of these dangerous compounds.
Asbestos and other dangerous resources, that can hurt you if you handle them improperly, are not illegal.
Use your energy, fight that!

My husband and I will make our second trip to the area in May 2010.

Retirement is good for old folks in Libby.I have no problem with grown up folks but children and young people need to stay away.Remember it was me that told you so. I agree with you, JollyHoly. When I first looked up Libby on the internet, it surely sounded like a hell hole. My daughter and her husband were just having a new baby right here and I decided that I had to take a at this place. Meanwhile, three years have passed and neither of us is sick, although we know enough people who are. The EPA is in town cleaning up house by house. People are aware and cautious, that is the difference from before, when nobody was aware of the dangers of asbestos.
Thereare so many psoitive sides to Libby that I might very well spend my entire retirement here. The creeks and rivers are clean enough to drink from, the air is unpolluted and crime is very low. The rivers, creeks and lakes are abundant with fish and the forests offers an abundant harvest of deer. People are friendly and tolerant, the local food stores rival those of the big cities, always fresh and varied. After 30 years in D.C., this feels like a well-deserved break.

Check with the lieing EPA as the creeks in Libby...ALL of them are full of Tremolite.Signs on all creeks say stay away.But you know...I am not going to waste my time and breathe on people like you and hope you have a good retirement.BUT if you bring any of your grandchildren and children to Libby for Tremolite exposure....after you have been told...you will have killed them by not listening to me.YOU got to live with that and so do your children and grandchildren.Ask Dusty from the Libby Chambers...THEY all sell Libby as safe killing more people too.I shall carry on.Oh yah, being disabled and on Oxygen...I got the rest of my life to respond and tell the truth even to ignorants like you and all the rest who call me....the liar.I don't kill people.They do.

What you say about the creeks is not true. If the EPA finds asbestos anywhere, they clean it up.
In your first post, you speak of "thousands of families." Isn't that a bit exaggerated ?
