Lorax wrote: <quoted text>And they like to ignore your compliments. No, I don't. I have been busy studying defenses to torts and writing legal research papers. I was reading on the school message board, and someone posted that their least-favorite class, out of all the classes they took, was torts and personal injury. Hmm, I absolutely love it!

Dear Claude, I'll take that as a compliment!! When I started working, I wasn't sure what field I wanted to work in. In a move across the state 28 years ago, I got a job as a legal secretary in a law office working for two attorneys and a paralegal. I knew at that point that I wanted to be a paralegal (have entertained the idea of law school, but I'm not sure). Well, 23 years, three kids, eight moves across country later, it is finally my time. I don't have that many working years left, so I want to make the most of it. I love going back to school! It is an adjustment, lots and lots of reading case law. And I am the old lady in the class with a bunch of immature, ill-prepared nit wits who don't read the assignments and case law. If they did, they wouldn't ask, on the interactive screen on the computer, "what is chattel?". Well, if you read today's lesson on torts against chattel and look up the definition in a dictionary then read the case law assigned for today's lesson, you would know!! Plus, stop posting stupid comments about how you need a break from your kids. Honey, STFU!!!!! This is class!! Not a chat room!!! Shut up and pay attention!!!! If you can afford to go to school, you can afford a babysitter for your kids!!! We all have responsibilities and situations we are dealing with!!! That is LIFE!! Thanks, Claude. I'm glad I can get a rise out of you...

So is velvet red...mmmmmmm, mmmmmmm, mmmmmm!! But, you know me, I've got to try it!! It will take about a month or a little more before it is ready once I make it. I'm getting ideas of what I would like to try instead of just grape juice. I would also like to try cherry or strawberry with a touch of cinnamon.

YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! I submitted my first assignment, and it has been graded. I received a 4 out of 4!!!! Yesssssssss!!! I decided to argue in favor of the defendant (thought I would pull a Charlie James ;-0 ) AND I found US District Court caselaw from September 2011 where the defendant's motion to dismiss was granted regarding intentional infliction of emotional distress. This was after the instructor said there probably wouldn't be any caselaw at that level. Well, well, well ....... time for a lil cel-a-bration.......

I just love all this attention of being judged by someone that doesn't know anything about you. Well if it keeps them happy to judge, so be it. I guess they really need to get a life since they have so much time on their hands. Knowing this will ge judgd, I wndr if somone will check my sepelling. lol lol lol. It will get judged but I doubt if the spelling gets corrected. I'm bored and just kicking back.

I've been waiting for some cold and snow! Yep, kick in some ice so I can work from home every once in a while. It's beautiful when it snows and ices up. The bummer for me is: Mild Winters Extreme Winter storms (mainly bad ice storms) No Spring or too wet of a Spring like last year Drought in Summer (I can take the heat) Short Fall (last year was wonderfully long) I have a sister who lives in San Diego. She said they had a cold spell a couple of weeks ago It dipped waaaaaay down into the upper 40's Bring on the Cold and Snow!!
