I would NOT take my pet to Lucky Puppy Custom Cuts if they were the last groomer left on the planet. I dropped my dog off at 8:30 in the morning. I never gave a specific time I needed to pick my dog up by but one would think my dog would be groomed by 4:30. To my total disappointment my dog had only received a bath by the time I picked her up at 4:30. I'm a mom of 2 kids and I work full time during the week so the weekends are a busy time for my family. I was told that my dog was next to get her hair cut but I told the groomer I didn't have time to wait. She returned my dog and told me I did NOT need to pay for her bath. I was almost home and received a call on my cell phone from the owner stating that I owed her $10 for the bath. I argued that her employee told me I owed nothing and the owner threatened to send me to collections over $10. I felt this was completely ridiculous and rather than ruin my perfect credit score, I turned around, drove back up to the store and paid the $10. I will NEVER take my pet back there and I will tell everyone I know not to take their pet there either. Worst customer experience I have EVER received!!!!!!

I've also had a terrrible experience there. When I dropped my dog off at 8 am, I told them that I had to pick her up by 5 due to a prior engagement. They assured me that this wouldn't be a problem. However, they were not done by 5, and I was told to just leave her there overnight. Needless to say, i was not happy.

Use Lucky Puppy for cuts and kennel. Could not be happier. Try communicating better when you drop your dog off. Do not assume anything.

I never had a problem with the amount of time it took. Usually dropped off around 9am and picked up by noon. They did nick him twice though on his belly. Pretty bad cut once. Wasn't too happy with that. I don't like not being able to see back there either. Don't feel too trusting about what really goes on back there. I prefer places that do the grooming in front of windows or out in the open where you can see how your pet is being treated.

took our two dogs ther once. when we picked them up they both had not been out side to pee. we took them for a wash and to get a desheding treatment. They said they didnt have time for both after being there all day. Then after we got them home we found they both had fleas and a tick on one of them. After a call back to them they told us they forgot to tell us they came in like that which was not true and if they did it was there job to catch it so never again will we use them. they are horrible and the dogs are in shock when they leave.

We have tried all groomers in Troy over the last few years. Lucky Puppy is the best by far! I am thankful they opened.

I have taken my dog to them many times and he is never ready when I come to pick him up. NEVER! However the wash and cuts are usually acceptable. The real problem is they must overbook or do not have enough help. They need to become better organized and have your pet ready on time period! I finally changed to another groomer in wentzville. Sorry Lucky Puppy but my time is important too.

Why do you waste your money getting a haircut for a dog?

I take my dogs to lucky Puppy and never once have I had any problems with them. The girls there are very nice and very respectful I always have my dogs done by the time I ask for. My dogs are also very happy and excited to go to lucky Puppy as well as when they leave. If it had ever taken longer to groom them its because I would look back there and my dogs were giving them lots of kisses and they would give them kisses and hug on them back. I would recommend this place to everyone. As for the person whom started this thread try asking for a time when you go in they are very good about getting them done on time.

I love lucky puppy. My dog is 15 and they take amazing care of him. They do their best to get him in and out asap. My dog is a child to me and I'm very picky where I take him. I will continue to take him there and future dogs. I also highly recommend them. Somebody will always find something to complain about.

@Silly- I have my dog groomed because he is a Lhasa Apso and his hair is supposed to grow to the floor. With him being an inside outside dog it is a hassle when his hair is long. Plus he looks better groomed. I don't do it myself because I am afraid I would cut him and he wouldn't look as good.
