She was really the Mayor of the city. She was the one making all the decisions and keeping he city out of troube. She asked for a raise and a new title as the assistant to the mayor. This was denied and she left. Give her a call !

Look up the minutes of the board meetings before she left! The board denied her the position of assistant to the Mayor.

This city is so screwed up!!! The mayor is afraid of ron sconce, he follows him around and thinks his word is gospel, this board doesn't believe in its employees, they don't give 2 shits about them, if they don't figure it out this city will imploded on its self

From the July 16, 2012 minutes, they voted to give her a raise. If you look back further, you see the board gave instructions to give all employees a 3% raise in the new budget. So this July 16 raise was an extra raise?

Let me get this right; someone demands a raise and a new job title. They give a raise, but not the title. Was the extra raise not as much as demanded? Could it be this resignation was just a bluff that backfird and now we see some sour grapes? If so, sounds like someone they don't need.

Good Luck to the new Clerk.

She was just in it for herself. I guess the extra raise the Board was willing to give her didn't make things enough to her "advantage".

Good luck Jodi!

Why not a good choice? She has worked for the City for years, so she is familiar with the community and the City government. She has been the Deputy City Clerk, although hopefully she has learned what NOT to do by observation during her time as Deputy. She will do fine as long as she approaches the job realizing that she works for the Mayor and Board, not the other way around, and that she is not Queen of the City. She needs to remember that she is just a clerk. If she does her job remembering those things, then you are right, she will fit in nicely.

I'm fairly new to Lincoln County. I saw an ad in this week's LCJ for a Deputy City Clerk, and am considering applying for the job. If the City Clerk resigned, did the current Deputy Clerk take her position? Is that who "Jodi" is? What do you mean by "what NOT to do by observation during her time as Deputy"?

Just want to know what I could be getting myself into if I apply.

If you aren't from here your chances are almost 100% that you will not get the job. I've been here 10 years trying to get a job here. No luck whatsoever. I think it is because I'm not fat and have all my teeth.

Blah blah blah. This group of inbred genetic defects wouldn't know when a qualified candidate applied.

So you don't see anything new of different going on in the city? You must drive around with your eyes closed.
