I think you have that wrong. Raquell isn't from "Kinross" she is from "KINCHELOE".

I'd really like to know were NORTH RUDYARD is. Its like everyone around here needs to put a name on something to feel like someone. When in reality they're nobody. Just like Kinross township, its just a name of a township and Kincheloe AFB is a community with in the township. Its nothing more then that.
This community could be so much more but there are to many hands in the pot for anything to get done.
What I can't understand is, why is nothing around Kincheloe AFB getting done? We don't have flower box's around the community or anything to beautify around here?
Just a thought.

And a good one at that. MANY years ago for one summer only -- we (many residents) dug up parts of the lawn by the street and as a fund raiser I think the ambulance corp sold petunia's to plant there. there was quite a response to the idea, but it only lasted one summer.

I can tell you where North Rudyard thinks it is. It's the area around Tilson Rd., Polegstra Rd., etc...... that is actually, technically Kinross Township (the part that keeps electing people like Marvin, Vicki etc....) but god forbid they let someone know where they really live because then they become one of "those" people and their kids become one of "those" kids!

have you ever heard the story about how Kinross Township actually came to be Kinross Township??

It's actually quite funny if it's the truth.

I can't say I've ever heard the story, tell me what you know. From what I can see of that area, looks like a lot of inner-breading going on and that is just from driveing through that area. If you know what I mean.
I really don't know much about this town, I moved my family up here from down state to raise my kids.
What I do know about this town is, there is a LOT of cry babies around here.

Ok here's the story at least the part that I remembered - it's been many years since I was told the story so I forget the inticrate details but the crux of the story is that Pickford and Rudyard got together and figured out the land that was not worth a whole lot (farm land etc...) and did whatever it was that it took to make or let whoever wanted to make Kinross Township. So that's how Kinross started and then the government came along and wanted to make an Air Force base and that's how Kincheloe was born.

Now we have people who don't want to be part of Kinross, they want to be North Rudyard, and god forbid anyone should acknowledge Kincheloe anymore.

I think its kinda funny, ironic what ever words you choose. It's kinda like your kids wishing they were in someone else's family because they have cooler stuff, cooler parents, or do cooler things.

So that's my story for the day. Hope you enjoyed it.

I have known many people in and around Rudyard for many years, and quite frankly Rob, the only thing diluting the quality of the folks there, is some (not all) of those people moving in to improve the quality of life to raise thier own families. It would seem they forget to leave thier bad manners on the south side of the bridge!

Disgusted, please tell me that you are not bashing the individuals that live in Kincheloe. I would find that very offensive. I hate the way that people that don't live in this community constantly state that it is such a terrible place to live. We have low income housing, our teenager run oh and lets not forget all of our BIG BAD "GANGS" lol. The truth is our housing is close and we have law enforcement pretty contstant in the area. So, instead of our teenagers sitting out in a barn in the back 40 getting drunk, smoking, etc. they are doing it at someones house or in local hang out spots and they get caught. Are the kids or adults any worse in Kincheloe than anywhere else. ABSOLUTELY NOT!! Do we need more community events? Heck yes. The problem is we don't have enough people living in this community that want to put the time into doing it.

Why North Rudyard? Don't they have a Rudyard zip code? a 478 prefix phone number? Live closer to the Rudyard Township hall than Kinross? Fire services from Rudyard? School District Rudyard? Even when RJ was open where did they go to school? Seems like a nice area lots of school employees and friendly people. Oh and I belive you are collecting taxes from them to run a rec center that only benfits the "kincheloe" residents. The truth is we have a great community Kinross, Kincheloe, Rudyard and even North Rudyard to bad some people can never be happy. Good luck Rudyard boys Basketball Tuesday against Cederville!

Daily Horoscope for November 26

Sagittarius

The mood is considerably lighter as the Moon enters Aries and your fifth house of romance and creativity today; plan to enjoy a good time tonight. Make a play date with your inner child and forget about all your responsibilities for a few hours; you've been working hard and deserve time off for good behaviour. Just remember, no drinking and driving... hire a cab if you plan to go out for the evening.
