This is where I went to school. How convenient, it was on our farm. My friends and I took the tower off the top of the scool and put it in our "back 40", for a clubhouse. I hear it has been salvaged and restored and is infront of the fire hall?
They made the school into Idle Time bar, Floyd and Elma Erkila, ran it. The teachers desk used to sit right where the bar was. I was inspired.
I guess it burned down and all of my and Theresa Johnson's memories with it.now I hear it has a White Tailed bar and grill there now. I left Skandia in 1963 and never went back, have I missed anything?

Well, Looks like no one in the Greater Skandia area is interested in the history of the Pioneer Sciool. I lived my whole formative life right there on US41 between Yalmar and Skandia and I can't get anyone to type at me. Nobody apparently swam at the swimming hole on the Chocolay River or bobsleded Section 10 hill, so if you want to hide behind your Trenary Toast and pasties, just Email me and tell me you don't want to get involved.
