well here is another account of Joseph Smith's eternal rock theory:
Really?

Does it actually say anything about eternal rocks?

Let's see.

this is from this site:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mormon_cosmology
I will note, first of all, that Wikipedia is not an LDS source.

Valid sources for LDS doctrine are, well, LDS sources. Wikipedia is not one of them.

That aside, can you please explain how you imagine that passage supports any "eternal rock theory?"

It says nothing about rocks. It only talks about *matter*.

Matter is not rocks, although rocks are matter.

But you are intelligent enough to realise that, aren't you?

And therefore you are intelligent enough to realise that the point at issue is *not* whether Joseph taught that the universe was organised from pre-existing matter; I freely and cheerfully affirm that he did teach it.

The point at issue is whether your phrase "eternal rock theory" is an accurate, honest description of Joseph's teaching, or a derisive, misleading distortion.

And you know what?

*Every single source* you have cited becomes one more witness *against* you.

Joseph Smith said *nothing* about "eternal rocks*. If he had, you would have found a source by now.

this can also be confirmed by grabbing a copy of earlier works of the mormons at yard sales and thrift shops. The church is busy trying to destroy all the evidence that points towards their insanity while feverishly lying and attacking hatefully anyone who tries to bring it to the public's attention.
Why do you insist upon these lies, smurf boy? The Church continues to teach its doctrine, including the doctrine that the creation was not _ex nihilo_. And you, an atheist, thinks this is "insanity?"

I see.

Well, Pahoran, your insane campaign is not going to work! I am not alone in recognizing the evil in your church and will continue to post whatever I can to help people see the insane danger your organization represents to the spiritual growth of Humanity!
Here is a short text file on dismantling the horrible edifice of the Patriarchal Religious Military Industrial Complex of which the LDS is a prominent player:

So you are changing the subject.

To your own insane conspiracy theory.

Oh well.

Don't members of the LDS church have the right to express our opinion? What are you affraid of?
Absolutely you can express your opinion. But if you're gonna get involved in the political arena, you should lose your tax exempt status. Since the LDS church is the richest in the world, I'd say they are the ones that should be afraid.

You want to know about the Mormon church and Joseph Smith the false prophet. How do I know he's a false prophet, well the Bible said "Let a prophet be known by his prophecies whether they come to pass or be false" Joseph Smith prophecied that the Mormon church would never leave Illinois. Yet not long after he was murdered, they packed up and went to utah...False Prophet. Although, he didn't do bad for a man who made up a religion with a rock he put in a hat to get his so called visions.

Get "The Golden Hoax" by Evangelist Perry Stone. It tells all about the Mormon church. What they don't want their members to know.

“Mystical Atheism for everyone!”

Pahoran said "Why do you insist upon these lies, smurf boy? "

Here we see a classic example of the ad hominen stratagy used by a group that really can not refute what people are pointing out so they resort to slander and lies to diminish the credibility of those who seek to expose their dangerous insanity!

Notice he calls me a liar and in the same sentence seeks to diminish my stature even further by calling me "Smurf boy" despite the fact that my avator is "Grandpasmurf952" which would indicate something about my age to everyone.

This is a typical tactic that the mormons also used in belittling black people when they tried to object to the insanity of Joseph Smiths teachings on race.

I'm sure this mormon puppet troll will come back with more lies and name calling but as more and more people become aware of the tactics used by the mormons to hide their hatred of us gentiles on these public forums their insanity will become glaringly obvious to everyone.

Call for references that "the LDS church is the richest in the world."

It will not be sufficient to show that the Latter-day Saints are faithful tithe-payers, or that the Church of Jesus Christ has been prudent in its financial stewardship; you need to show that the Church is, in fact, "the richest in the world."

I wish you luck. You will need it.

Incidentally, the notion that churches should shut up about any issue that's being discussed in the public square or else lose their tax-exempt status is tyrannical and amounts to state censorship of religious speech.

Not that you have a problem with that, of course.

Reference, please?

Call for references that Joseph ever made such a prophecy. Can you provide one? Because I have documentation that Joseph prophesied, some years before his death, that the Church would eventually be driven to the Rocky Mountains.

Spam snipped.

As we have seen: "Insanity" = "beliefs that Smurf rejects."

And, as you know, I don't attribute lies to you in order to slander you; I do it because you do, in fact, rely exclusively upon lies.

It indicates what it is you want people to *think* about your age, yes. You are, of course, no grandpa of mine; however, I am inclined to credit that you are something of an old codger, not only because of your scarcely-coherent ramblings, but also because of your tiresomely repeated slogan, which sounds like something a superannuated hippie would come up with.

Just so you know, Eisenhower's "military industrial complex" had nothing at all to do with religion, whether "patriarchal" or otherwise. It represented an alliance between military heads and big industrialists. Here is a reference:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military-industr...

Now you can educate yourself.
