I was as my sons lacrosse game yesterday and one of the boy's mothers was tweaking. As a former user I can spot it a mile away. It is so sad and pathetic that people can not see or care what this drug is doing to them and more so to their families and society in general. I was a several time a day user and finally had it with the drug over 5 years ago. Rehab? I think that rehab is a crock and cop out for a reason to relapse....I used for over 8 years several times a day and just QUIT! STOP DOING METH,CRYSTAL,CRANK,ICE...WHATE VER YOU CALL IT. YOU ARE DISGUSTING!

I got pregnant with my daughter, and for some reason, my head was still on straight enough that I was able to quit. Some people can't though. They just can't. I tried to quit NUMEROUS times during those 2 1/2 years, but never could for more than 3 or 4 days. I think that most people have a line that they draw, that they won't cross over. Apparently my line was not turning my baby into a meth addict right off jump. Maybe the ones who can't quit are the ones who have a lower standard for the lines they will cross. Once I finally quit after getting pregnant, I NEVER touched it again. NEVER. Part of that reason is probably because I moved out of the state I was living in, lost contact with all of those "friends" and just became really focused on becoming a good mother.

That's one heck of a drug. My friend's relative has a birth defect due to meth use during her pregnancy. Stories like yours are pretty rare, so they are that much more wonderful to hear.
