Don't worry everyone. The teachers union will make sure they don't loose their jobs.

Jeeze - If they would pay the teachers half way descent we wouldn’t have this problem. I have some college and I guarantee you that I make a lot more than they teachers... GIVE THEM A BREAK Maybe that way my kids won't be so DUMB.

Teachers are better paid than they once were. Try looking up their salaries sometime. Not too shabby, plus they get all those holidays, Summer, and school vacations, it adds up to over 3 months a year. Wish I got 3 months off. Awww, you have to get your continuing education teachers? Well, so do I, so do many other people in other professions. No one pays me for my time or my classes to do that, same as teachers. Too bad, you have to take work home. I've had to take work home in every job I've had in my adult life, so has just about everyone I know, no matter the job, so join the club teachers. Teachers, you stay after hours to do extra work. do you? So do lots of us who work. Besides, why is it that when I drive by a school 30 minutes after it lets out the parking lots are almost empty? In any case I think I got a better education when teachers were less well paid back in the 1970's. Also I think my parents got better educations in the 1940's when they were in school. Money won't fix everything.

Most teachers hold 2 or 3 jobs. Yes they get alot of time off, but only a 10 month salary per year. Why don't you all do the research before you go and stereotype people.

That was the most inappropriate use of the word 'stereotype' I've ever seen. Maybe the word 'generalization' would have worked better there. something like this: "Why don't you all do the research before you make a generalization like that."

How well teachers are paid is not the issue here, the issue is possible deceit and abuse of power. If you dont agree with the how teachers retirement works or how teachers are paid you need to fight those issues, not dishonestly help those you chose by making up fake classes to beat the system.

Hey Maria. Are you a teacher? I wouldn't open your mouth if I were you. They get paid plenty. They come in at 8, leave at 3, get holidays and the summer off. They work during the summer, which is their choice. I have three friends that are teachers in a JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL and they all get $70,000 plus a year!! Shut up!!!

Money won't fix everything. Absolutely right! I work an 8-hour day; I stay late; go in early; take work home; and only get 2 weeks vacation. They've also taken a couple of our holidays away. Let a teacher try a "regular" job for awhile. They'll go right back to teaching.

Without commenting on the appropriateness of teacher salaries, I will state that what this principal did amounts to attempted larceny and should be pursued accordingly.

Don't judge until you've walked in their shoes... I know plenty of teachers. You have no idea the type of kids some of them have to put up with in class. They can't discipline, the parents (if they have any) don’t support them and they have to deal with the rules of the administration that only cares about whether or not their school makes the grade not if those kids learn anything. It's the teacher who cares about those kids. If you ask me I don't think they make enough. Many buy their own supplies because the schools don't have the money to supply them. I can go on and on...
