This is such a tragedy for the Yanni family - particularly after having lost Michaels' beautiful and deeply respected mother to a courageous battle to cancer a year ago this month. I pray for the Yanni family. I pray that they will find peace and solace during these darkest moments and that they know that there are many who support and care for them just as we did following the untimely death of Michaels' father when Michael was a bright, promising, grade-school athlete and student. My heart is heavy with sorrow for Michael and his family today.

I went to school with two of the Yanni boys. It makes me so sad to see that this is how the family might be remembered. All of them were polite, respectful young men...or at least that is how it seemed. I pray that Michael can recognize the wrong that he has caused others, and that he can ask for forgiveness...just as all of us will have to do one day.
