I did hear that. I heard it was going to bring 200-300 jobs to Monroe Co, But, I just heard today that it will no longer be happening because 3 or 4 of the so called "wealthy" people jumped and bought the building in order to stop it. For some reason they do not want anybody else to have a job in Monroe Co.!!!
Everyone in this county should thank them personally!

those so called "Wealthy" people are the ones who own certain businesses in tville that want people to work for pennies-that's why we cant have jobs because they would have to pay people more and everyone knows who they are-I think it is pathetic that they care about money so much they dont care that there neighbors are starving...

'Beldens' wouldn't let them buy the building for what they offered....they want $2,000,000 and the business wouldn't pay that so it ain't happening.
You got it

2 sisters, you are exactly right. They are scared to death for someone else, anyone else to make a little money, or for them to have to spend a little more to be competitive. I heard this company was going to start off paying at least $15 an hour! Think about how many people in this county would benefit from that! I bet I can guess who it is....Anderson, Hagan, and a few more. They have ALWAYS worked to keep businesses out of Tompkinsville. This town is drying up and there is a great opportunity to bring it back, and look what happens....GREED, GREED, GREED!!!

Hey they did the same crap when beldens came in here Beldens was going to pay 10 bucks an hour starting pay back when they first came here but the city council told them that would take jobs from Roy Anderson Lumber and other business like that so they made them pay people minimum wage???? What the hell is wrong with these people!!!!!!!!!! don't they see all the revenue this county lost over all those years this is very said.....

I know that when I lived there, about 20 yrs. ago, it was always busy. Now when I come to town, its like a ghost town or something. It really is sad.

You are an idiot. City council has never voted on the Belden building and the Carters don't have any businesses to protect. You are a pathetic loser.

It is not about protecting a business, it is about power, control, greed! You may want to check things out before you call someone else an idiot. The City council HAS voted against new things coming to Tville...ask around, it's no secret. I don't know that the council had time to vote against this one, I think they were beat to the punch by 3 or 4.
I personally think it is pathetic.

Well, you're the self proclaimed "great one" it looks like you would know. This has been going on for years, the few who like to think they are wealthy have always pushed to keep everything else out....it is just more noticeable now that nothing is left in t-ville. For your information, they DID work against Belden. Why don't you ask the city/county people what they wanted to charge the for the next to nothing building they built out past the hospital. Why don't you ask someone why Stephens Mfg. had to go to Burkesville...they TRIED to bring more jobs to t-ville, but it was the same ole story...and there is more!
