5 Coventry Students Taken To Hospital After Ingesting Oxycontin

well yeah so i know all these kids and they call go to my school.

I was wondering why they held us in the classrooms longer and why i heard sirens wel now i know. horray!!

i go to coventry high school, which is connected to Captain Nathan Hale Middle School, i know from personal contacts that these girls had disciplinary issues and were not golden children. I was told that the girl who gave the oxycotin to them was a girl named Caroline. I am very dissapointed in our school system for not being able to provent this from happening. I was told by a 7th grader that this was planned the day before it actually happened and couldnt have been provented if acted on. I am also dissapointed in those 8th graders for not having more self respect and control, and for those parents not being actively involved in their childrens well being. The school system i beleive reacted well and was not in a panic, although many high schoolers werent in the best mood being told to stay in their classes.

i am a student a CNHMS. today has been rough. We r takeing cmt's and now at the end of the day we are under lockdown seeing the news cars allowed me to know what is going on sadly i believe one of my friends was involved but not as a fact.

The middle school is at 1776 Main Street....not Nathan Hale Lane.

Well, I hope you kids learn something from this. No matter what kind of drugs they are, you have to JUST SAY NO!!

You need help. I don't think it's appropriate to promote doing drugs, especially in this case...

i am a student an CNHMS, and i wish this had never happened. my friend may have been the drug dealer. there were like 5 abulances, and 5 ppl were taken away. i really hope nothing happened, and that they all turn up to be ok. some of them i were suprised of this,and what they did. i just fear what lay in store for my friend. she has changed, and i fear the changes arn't for the better. they held us for 30 min!!!!! sitting in our classrooms for 30 min!!! in lockdown. the igh school ppl were mad, because they had to be locked down to.

The article headline says "No OxyContin found in students taken to hospital" I'm confused now.

It was tetracycline.....diet pills....

So I stayed home sick today and when I found out about this whole incedent I got upset, seeing as my younger brother goes to the middle school. Thank god he's okay. Seriously, whoever submitted that comment on loving OxyContin, GROW UP. These kids could die from making this kind of unfortunate and foolish decision, so leave your immature and unecessary remarks some where else. Just hope that every one of these kids will be okay and learn from their mistake.

There have been incidents of children taking oxycotin and aterol in school right in front of the teachers as well as ingesting liquor. It seems to be starting a huge problem. I have 2 children that go to the high school and say that you can get whatever you want there. I think the police and school officials need to start some investigating finally!

Wow, so in other words they're going to be absolutely fine and this was just a hoax? I'm very confused.

Really? Wow, I have never heard any of this from anyone, which is odd seeing as my younger brother attends the middle school and I myself attend the high school. How come if you had knowledge of this you did not report it?

im a student in the captain nathen hale middle school and was shocked to finde out that these five students did this!

it was found to just be a mix of diet pills, and tetracycline, a pain killer. i havn't heard from my friend yet, which isn't good.

tetracycline isnt what they said. its to treat std's.
