Full story: GoErie.com

Recently, on Mickle Hill Road in Warren County, there was a hand-drawn sign "Vote Right, Vote White" among a bevy of legitimate John McCain posters.

The sad thing about that sing is the people it appeals to will not vote for Obama anyway. The only thing this idiot accomplished was confirming they are an idiot to everyone that sees the sign. On a side note, anyone that votes based on skin color, rather than issues is wasting a vote. Anyone that votes on age, rather than issues is wasting a vote.

And Anyone that votes because of gender, rather than the issues is wasting a vote. Just because someone is/isn't black/white/young/old/female/m ale, doesn't make them qualified. Vote Smart is what my sign will say.

It's appalling that someone has the STUPIDIDTY to post a sign like this. It just shows how much the "country folk" are out of touch in this country. I wouldn't feel sorry at all if this bumpkin gets his pad vandalized!

It's disturbing and disgusting that attitudes like this still exist in 21st century America. Some places are very slow to change.

It is very sad that still in this day in age someone would or wouldn't vote for someone based on their skin color. It is very ridiculous that people are still so anti. I don't care what color someone's skin is, I just want to know if they are going to stand up for what I believe or not.
But, because of these people, can you imagine, if Obama wins the election, how much they will have to step up securitym becuase of the truly racist people that will have it out for him?

That area in PA is very behind the times.

If I remember correctly, the last time the KKK swung through the area, they had some kind of rally in the Warren area.

I am not kidding myself. No one in their right mind would parade around with a sign like that at a public rally unless they were wearing a hood. I really think someone from the Obama campaign is responsible.

Not sure I'd lump all 'country folk' in on this... YES - it was a VERY ignorant thing to do! If I had seen it, I'd probably torn it down. The ONLY reason the person thought he could get away with it is IT IS in the country. Do that in the city or even a little town like mine -- you'd never forget the grief it would buy you from most everyone.
No matter who the candidate or party - that message was totally INEXCUSABLE!!

Racism is alive and well.

You should have seen the sign wars in Edinboro this summer. Someone put up a sign that said: A vote for Obama is a vote for Osama. In response to it, the neighbors put up yellow and black "caution tape" around their yard and made a large sign that read: CAUTION...IGNORANT SIGN UP AHEAD."

I hope the neighbors surrounding that racist's sign do the same thing.

Ok - so all of you are basically saying that racism only exists in the "stix" and "country" and only "bumpkins" think that way??? Are you serious??? So, in any of our fine, big cities there are no racists? Are you sure? Are all "country-folk" racist? Yeah, I'm so sure that there are no KKK members living in Pittsburgh or Erie. Give me a break. I think the difference is that maybe in the city areas people hide it a little bit better.

I don't think we are saying that this doesn't exist in the cities. What we are saying is that you can get away with this sort of outright filth in the country. The difference between the city and country is yeah, maybe the guy down the street in the country will put up a counteracting sign (God bless him!) whereas the city, you could bet there would be some kind of damage to his house or HIM!
Either way, human biengs acting like this is a SHAME!

I'm always amazed at all of the free speech, civil rights crowd's reaction to such minor things. They have no problem generalizing when they are constantly whining on and on about generalizations and how evil they are. These misguided people will fight to the death to support someone who takes a picture of a penis, hangs it on a wall and calls it art.

Talk about God, Jesus or morality and these people become the very thing they claim to hate; BIGOTS.

People are allowed to have different opinions in this country. Sorry Himmler, there is NO topic off limits. The best part? You have to thank yourselves.

I think the guy who wrote the article linking Republicans to the man with an ignorant home-made sign is a jerk.

The direct racism charge has been seen through. Now they are using the indirect path. Have you watched the appalling behavior of Rep. Meeks. It is the same tactics used by Obama supporters.

Daily Horoscope for December 17

Leo

If you're going to a festive party or gathering today you'll have a great time. It will be good to see some old faces and nice to meet some new ones. Don't be shy about breaking the ice if you spot someone you'd like to know better, as with Mars in your sign dancing with Venus in fiery Sagittarius, bells will ring and fires light up. Get the last of those Christmas cards out of the way now, so they're not on your conscience.
