Good addition to Orlando. I loved shopping at those stores in Europe. They have some unusual stuff (especially food). Worth watching for their weekly selection of blowout items at ridiculously low prices, available for a very short time and until they sell out.

I moved from Syracuse to Florida last year and I miss Aldis. The store prices are very reasonable. Most items are good quality. Its not for the rich and famous but the low and medium income family. I found most items lower priced than Walmart. But you must bag your items and bring your own bags or purchase bags. All the cashier does is scan the items and put them in a cart. Its a good store for people on a budget.

Can't wait for Aldi to move to Central Florida! I waste SOOOO much money right now by not having Aldi here. Looking forward to having that money that I save on groceries back in my wallet soon! There are also several items that I miss from Aldi that you can't find anywhere here in Florida. Welcome Aldi! Can you open up any sooner than September??

Disgusting - the food is nothing but preservatives behind thick plastic packaging - what is here in the US is not what is in Europe.

Preservatives in American food? No way! And no one would ever think that people in Europe could eat processed foods. Thank God there is no such thing as McDonald's there! That would cause some serious problems.

I can't wait for Aldi's to open in September! I've been living in FL for 5 years and totally miss shopping there. You get sooooo much for your money. It doesn't have everything like fresh cold cuts, but you can pretty much get everything else the kids love and more! Great place for those on a limited budget especially due to the rising fuel costs!

I know, I love Aldi's! And the quality of the food is much better than what some other discount chains have to offer. If you have kids, Aldi's is a great place to do bulk shopping.

I'd sooner eat Winn Dixie's crap that
n Aldi's crap. Cool European names for crummy food will only go so far. Just another chain that will go under, and take a lot of jobs with them. So many stores have found you can't compete against the pastel monster, so will Aldi

These kinds of budget grocery stores are all over the place up north, and have been there for many years - it's baffling why there aren't any around here. Some previous posts referred to their low grade food - which is kind of true. I used to go to a different budget grocery in Michigan for my basics (milk eggs sugar flour) until I realized that their prices were THE SAME AS WAL-MART - the gross food was cheaper of course. You get what you pay for.

Went to Rome NY Aldi's today, we eat a lot of salad and the produce prices are quite a bit lower than Hellmart and Price Chopper, so I thought I'd give it a try-now I know why produce is cheaper.

Lettuce-not crisp
Cukes-bitter and boggy
Carrots-woody, pithy
Roma tomatoes-flavorless, mushy
Green bell peppers-thick skinned and tough
Bananas-fine, but not a great buy, same price as Hellmart
Fudgies-not choclately enough, but adequate, same price as Hellmart
Italian dressing-outstanding stuff-loved it!!
Yogurt-acceptable, but only 1 cent less than at Hellmart

Store was clean, cashier was efficient, won't likely return again anytime soon, tho.

I know Aldi Stores from Germany, and they have been very successfull in Berlin. I am only wonderering if our location on Merritt Isld. will be a good one you. In the last three years(after Windixie moved out) we got "Foodtown" in here, and they did not even last a year!!.Dollar General is almost across the road, but hardly a competition for you.People here are somewhat spoiled as far as service in concerned. But we are anxious to see you open up. Sincerely Arnold Breskot

I hope you will be able to have a aldi store near spring hill florida or brooksville we really need a store like yours in our community. We have a sav a lot here in brooksville but I have shopped at an aldi before in different states and I like aldi better than sav a lot, please think about us being one of your locations to put a new store. Thank you and have a great day.

Have never shopped or even heard of them before now. However, they are building their huge distribution center less than half a mile from my child’s school. It is already a nightmare to get in and out in the morning. Due to it being a private school we have no crossing guard or slow speed school zone in front of the school. A Home Depot is also being constructed directly across from the schools entrance. I think a stop light is in order to allow people out of the school parking in the mornings and afternoon. So, as you can imagine I am not thrilled. Well I suppose it will bring much needed jobs and they have to put it somewhere!

I lived in upstate NY and would on occasion go to Aldi's. I am not crazy about the "generic" taste of some of the items such as the cereal. The produce was not great, can do a lot better at farmers/flea markets. However, it is worth a stop in. There are brand named bags of candies that are cheap, tyson cornish game hens for abou 2 bucks, frozen burgers and dinners at a much cheaper price. So check the flyers or if driving by stop in. I for one will not be making it my main grocery store, but will stope in on occasion to check for bargins.
Oh news flash, American Foods are full of preservatives, sugars, artificial flavors.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Aquarius

If you're still happily munching chocolates and all sorts of other goodies, you'll have to take yourself in hand at some point during the coming fortnight. Maybe you'll have to compensate for all the festive over-eating by taking more exercise or cutting back on the calories, or perhaps you'll decide that you can't delay giving up smoking any longer. As Mercury turns in your twelfth house of secrets, messages you receive at this time may be very subtle or contain hidden meanings meant only for your understanding.
