You say you are a "christian" but your rebellious words and attitudes betray you; and, portray you for who you really are: THE DEVIL'S ADVOCATE roaming to a fro through cyberspace seeking to provoke and devour. Really, you should think seriously about finding another job...another purpose. |

"A thorough review of the facts"?!! This idiot knows exactly what he did. Just as he did in the past in Texas when he was removed from a church there for having sexual activity with multiple people. He thought this under age child would be so "star struck" by attention from the pastor of her church- she would be an easy target for his advances. This is how these idiots operate. The mother should have known better than to try to let the church handle the situation- they usually try to cover every thing up to avoid scandal- even when it is not in the best interest of the child. Look at the recent event at Trinity Baptist. Motto- trust NO ONE with your children.

I agree. It is money out of the congregation's pockets that will support him. What a shame. |
Elite, elect, yes...hypocrit..NO...that would be you. Look at it this way, Who are you to say what the congregation "needs" to do under these or any other circumstances? You are not a member, you have no say as by vote, and your presumptive posturing precludes you from any authoritative or effectual moral pursuasion. All you have done is elevate yourself to the self determined heights of your little bitty god and hyperpostulate from there that you have some overarching ability to tell this congregation what they should do? You don't, no one but GOD does. |
|
Oh yes, in case you didn't get the point: THIS IS NOT YOUR TRUTH TO FACE..LET GO AND LET GOD |

Mom should be in trouble as well. Why would she go to the church first? My first stop would have been the police. How did she know it was the Pastors number? Did she also have his private line? Sounds fishy to me. I wonder if she tried to get money first and when she could not get it that is when she went to the police.

- Yo, BUBBA! T'ain't the CHURCHs "Truth to face" either. - This fool ain't gonna spend time in the church's jail, it's gonna be the State of Florida's jail. Unfortunately, us NON-church members are going to have to feed his ugly face unless we can somehow convince the legislature to deal with child molestation via the death sentence. |
At this point in the "process" it is the church's truth to face, BECAUSE NONE OF THE PENDING INVESTIGATIONS HAVE RESULTED IN FORMAL CHARGES OR ACTIONABLE CAUSES; AND UNTIL CHARGES OR CAUSES ARE PREFERRED AND THE ACTIONS OR CAUSES PROVEN BEFORE A TRIBUNAL OF COMPETENT JURISDICTION, YOUR DOG DON'T HUNT...No logic, just unfounded speculation and empty threats and fear about the future. But then again I'd rather see the self professed godless blow off steam rather than harbor and feed their violent thoughts. I truly hope you get right with GOD through the gospel truth before you are called to account. As a collateral matter, it appears you harbor an anxiety about who you think I am. So, let's see if reasonable minds can agree; if you can refrain from calling me "Bubba" I promise to refrain from calling you anything other than a gentleman and a scholar; after all it's just a matter of respect and there's no robbery in a fair trade. Under the sign of the cross. |

Any time a crime involves children, it is the right of the community to be involved, if for no other reason than to protect other children from becoming the next victim. Churches and other organizations need to stop protecting alleged child abusers because they are worried about their image and pocket book. If the alleged actions are against the law, the church does not have the right to investigate first and any parent who allows this to happen is not acting in the best interest of their child. |

PLEASE LETS NOT JUDGE UNTIL THE TRUTH IS TOLD
|
|
In reference to the fishy things...I see two quickly:
1) This pastor did the same thing in Texas and this church hired him anyway. 2) This church is "still" paying him. |

We're not judging. At least I'm not. I am just going by my own profession as a psychotherapist who has dealt with so many sad cases of child abuse from pedophiles and/or 'trusted people', such as Boy Scout Leaders, Pastors, Priests, Camp Counselors, etc.- and I include in this list all parents who have the duty to protect the innocence of their children and sometimes violate that trust by abuse; whew!!! Long sentence. Experience tells us that children don't lie. If there are allegations of abuse, they are almost always true. And whoever wrote that stupid post about 'mom should be in trouble as well" - that's just stupid. The media has told us that they have a copy of the text message the Pastor sent to the girl - and if Mom was born anywhere near this century, then she should probably realize that one can know the return number of a text message very easily, since it is included in the phone. Or maybe 'mom' just doesn't know what a 'text message' is. Or maybe mom just hasn't listened to any FACTS, and has just done what most stupid people do: react.

SWEETB
Sorry, the truth has been told, but the gullible sheep at Shiloh Baptist didn't want to hear it. DARRELL GILYARD IS A SERIAL ADULTERER, AND HE ADMITS HE PREYED ON WOMEN SEXUALLY THAT CAME TO HIM FOR COUNSELING. Don't believe me? Visit this site and read all about it: www.fbcjaxwatchdog.blogspot.com I just feel bad for the people of Shiloh that were not warned by the leaders who did know them. Apparently, according to one of the pastors in town, an attempt was made to let people know about Darrell Gilyards past. If Darrell Gilyard committed any crimes with minors, then the leaders at the church who know of Gilyard's past but did nothing to hold him accountable, and did nothing to warn the women of the church...well, you might want to start a fund to defend Gilyard and the church from the lawsuits that will be coming your way. |
|
Yes a cell phone does display a phone number when a text comes through but unless you have proggramed that number with a name it will only show a number. Unless the number was automatically known to Mom how did she know it was from the Pastor? Let's say she confronts the daughter and she tells the truth, why go to the church? If it were my kid I would have gone straight to the police or straight to his head. It would not have been to any deacons. |
|
And I wonder who will pay his legal fees? Hmmmmmmmm |
