Child support in reverse....

written by a child who is now grown...
Their goals are to reduce or eliminate child-support, roll back protections against domestic violence .
These self-admitted “Feminist Haters”(as one site refers to themselves) have come to realize that the best way to hurt their partner and punish her for leaving or pressure her to return is to go after her children. Unfortunately we have seen this strategy play out in murders or murder-suicides, but most of the time abusive fathers who had little involvement with the children during the relationship suddenly seek custody after she leaves. This is Domestic Violence by Proxy in its purist form. The court system and the inadequately trained professionals often used by the courts have been slow to recognize this all too common phenomenon.

Just try to get a molestation case investigated, take a look at McCurtain County on bubbaworld.com and see how an admitted molester was given custody of a child that was concieved by molestation by the molester, who got custody by a judge approval, DHS approval, and the D.A.s approval. The judge is still on the bench.

Where was the justice for that child. And the alledged molested mother is paying the molester child support as I understand it. Some justice there. Look and see for yourself and then make a good or bad judgement call about that case. there was also another similar case also if I recall correctly. What happened to the justice for children.

Like most abusers, our father recognized that he no longer had direct access to our mother after the divorce, but he DID have access to us kids. He quickly learned that the best way to get to our mother was through her children, realizing that abusing us was a far better and more effective way to hurt HER. This chain of events is at the heart of DOMESTIC VIOLENCE by proxy.
If we accept the abuser's claims that he's a good parent, I ask you, would a good parent withhold crying little kids begging for their mother? Wouldn't a good parent console, calm and reassure his children that they're loved and safe - that Mommy's just a phone call away?
....
- I think it's the sweetest and most attractive male quality to see a dad being nurturing towards a child...- The mother can only stand helplessly by as suspicious authoritative eyes keep a close watch on her while she prays for someone to see the truth and intervene because she’s no longer able to do so.
Even when a good father feels that he is being unfairly portrayed by his ex-wife, he does not set out to rip his child away from a loving mother and attempt to destroy the close bond his child has with that other parent. Yet these abusers systematically support the removal of any child from their mother despite the valid concerns of abuse. Their goals are to reduce or eliminate child-support, roll back protections against domestic violence .

He was cooperative and my mother was unrelenting in her determination to protect us.
Research shows that when children lose their primary attachment figure (the parent that performed most of the child care in the first couple of years of a child's life), they are more likely to experience depression, low self-esteem and suicide among other harm.... My mom was once asked when she escaped the domestic violence from my father. I was surprised when she replied “the day I got my kids back.” When she was asked to elaborate she replied “even though he wasn’t hitting me anymore, his abuse continued through my children and that was even more devastating than any beating he gave me.” It was at that moment I realized that we were nothing but a tool for my father to continue to abuse his mother. It is time to recognize Domestic Violence by Proxy and understand that condoning the Parental Alienation deception is the route of “Court Appointed - Child Abuse.” It’s time to stop the “CA – CA!”

Still waiting for someone to give an alternative idea for making sure the DHS pays for what happened to Kelsey. Don't give me the investigation route. They never get to the heart of the matter, do they?

The Sensational Kelsey Smith-Briggs' Story

The mainstream media just plain chose to get their facts wrong in reporting this case, and they continue to laundry-list all of Kelsey's injuries as if they happened all at once, when they were actually separate injuries over a period of nine months while Briggs had regular visitation - injuries, all of which, did not occur while with Smith. Most could easily be attributed to a photographic collection of childhood injuries amassed by the Briggs' in an effort of building a case against the mother.

As an example of the mainstream media's misreporting,

which the Sapulpa Daily Herald article contributed to by the Associated Press titled "Mother found guilty" stated,
"She [Kelsey] was found with a broken collarbone, broken legs
and bruises on her face
and body indicating that extreme abuse had taken place."
This is a prime

example of inflammatory reporting,

which in no way represents fact.

Her collarbone was not broken at the time of her death.

Her legs were not broken when she was murdered;

they were broken while in the care of Kathie Briggs
as outlined in Smith's trial.

She was never "found" with these injuries, as suggested.

The facts are brutal enough and need not be over-sensationalized. In fact, during the trial the DA used a similar tactic and presented three separate sets of pictures of the same injuries that Kelsey received in an automobile accident on August 19, 2005, pictures that have been distributed to document Kelsey’s abuse, but in fact were the result of a hit and run.

The Fact

This has been an emotional case for all involved. It, however, is unfortunate that emotion outweighed sensibility and logic as the evidence and testimony did not warrant such an outcome. The prosecution failed to prove that Raye Dawn ever abused Kelsey as much as they failed to prove that she ever "willfully" or "maliciously" allowed anyone to abuse her.

The fact is there can never be any real justice when it comes to a child's murder.
Their lives are cut short for no purpose.
Yet,
when reason fails in the face of political and financial gain,

it is not simply a grieving mother who finds her life gratuitously destroyed;

it is every citizen who finds himself

or herself waking in a far more dangerous world,

where freedom is taken for the crimes of another.

Give me another example of how to make sure that the DHS pays for what they did. Do you know how many children in Oklahoma are dying because of the constant failure to protect?

but the state has bills too,
and can't be bothered by people who use the justice system as a hired gun to met out their civil court problems.

the justice system is to protect people from abuse. not to give child molesters and child beaters a deal.

It is painfully obvious that the State of Oklahoma failed to provide any evidence that the defendant,
Raye Dawn Smith, acted in a willful or malicious manner with regards to the abuse that killed Kelsey Smith-Briggs.
The State was only able to offer circumstantial evidence based on hearsay testimony with regards to what the defendant, Raye Dawn Smith, should have known.
Testimony obtained from what would be considered hostile witnesses...

So precious Kelsey is only worth $525,000 to OKDHS and $100,000 to the private agency.

I am sure Mr. Briggs was tired and just wanted closure. For whatever reason, he settled.

This father WILL NOT settle. I have instructed my attorneys to prepare for a jury. If a jury awards me nothing, then so be it. I refuse to settle with murders and child abusers! Federal court rules require us to have a settlement conference. I will go into that with a legitamate settlement offer. No less than a million clear per head. That would be $6 million from each party sued. You can do the math.

I went a year without knowing if my children were well or not.

People of Oklahoma WAKE UP! Fire the entirte lot of trhem! Start with a new govenor, and not taht lame brain Edmondson! His office isssued a letter to our court certifying me as an abuser! Drew Edmondson is unfit for duty as a public servant. The system owns him. When he personally investigated the severe abuse of OKDHS director Hendricks son, he ruled taht it was not abuse or neglect to withhold medical treatmmt for 24 hours to severe third dedree burns.

Fire them all. Elect conservatives!

It was not, nor is it my wish to cause the Briggs family any pain.

The people of Oklahoma MUST WAKE UP and change this system. How many more children must die!

Kelsey, Keenan, Kyra...... how many more have there been? Come on Oklahoma, WAKE UP!

Kelsey's Law was a start. The OKDHS audit was a start. Oklahoma needs to finish what it started. Get behind Mary Fallin. Push her to promise changes...and make her keep her promises!

Our prayers and thoughts are still with Kelsey's father and family. You are a hero. Thank you for your service to our country and thank you for standing up to OKDHS. It is appreciated!

Interesting, how everyone on the FKM side had criticized Lance Briggs for bringing suit against the DHS. Yet now that Raye Dawn has her bloody hands out, it is acceptable for her. I wish one of them would explain that to me. It stinks to high heaven of hypocrisy and double standards.
