Tippecanoe flooding prompts evacuations

Thunderstorms that dropped more than 5 inches of rain north of Lafayette pushed rivers and streams over their banks today and sent at least 150 people to shelters.

has there been any deaths cause i have friends there and i just moved to kentucky i want to make sure everyone is ok

I live in Lafayette, so I'm only a skip away. Does anyone know of efforts that need help? What do these people need in terms of assistance?
