All the cops who make how much money a year were doing what? Traffic tickets? LA Fitness Car and Locker room robberies? Trying to find Lane Bryant killer? Running license plates at the Metra Lots? Or the chubby K9 cop was hiding in his car crying his department didnt buy him dog food? You drive down 159th at any time of day and there are Orland and Tinley cops everywhere? They didn't notice 20 people in black hoods? And shame on the workers and every other passer by who didn't call in a "suspicious person"? Where we're all the B.B.C.s today? This town is circling the drain fast. If TPs finest keep up the work well be Harvey Jr. In no time.

91 degrees and someone doesn't notice 20 people in black hoodies?

@RedRocker- get a clue. Apparently you're beyond ignorant if you think that's what goes on begins the scenes with cops and their daily jobs. You must have "unfairly" gotten a speeding ticket or two in your life or really been "innocent" when you were so unjustly arrested. You know full well that the attack happened incredibly fast. Faster then it takes for someone to pick up the phone, tell what's happening, get it dispatched and the officer to get there. The violence was done an over by then and the offenders were long gone. It doesn't take that long for the --- ers to leave. Enough with the us vs cop mentality. Sure, there's a few bad apples but most are truly the good guys and want the same that we all want for our families.

Clearly you're an idiot sir, and I would love to see you step into the shoes of an officer for one day!! I am sure you wouldn't last as long as you may think. Also, don't fool yourself about their salaries, no Officer is paid enough for the job they do! And remember your comment the next time you are in trouble and need help, who will you call?? Exactly

It clearly states she saw a the large crowd, that were the victims, gathered in the parking lot before they came into the restaurant for their reservation of 20!! They were gathered around cars with out of state plates. You have proven me right lol Try reading again! And the owner should have called the cops to just do a walk through if his employees felt that threatened or uneasy because of this group. That's what they get paid such big bucks(according to you) for, right?!!

They saw them get out of the van in black hoodies and one person said masks. Why didn't someone call the police? There had to be a person with a cell phone close by. I hope the police solve this one.
They were quick to say it wasn;t anything to do with the NATO riots. So that indicates the police know what was behind the attack.

A bunch of cops sticking up for each other. What? Were you on duty today and missed the call because you were giving out a citation for changing lines without signaling? Cops are nothing, but hard ons with guns. If I want a hero I'll call a fireman

Remember to not call 911 then :) Sorry that you've had tickets and are angry about it :( Just by what you wrote in response to my response shows the intellect I am dealing with! Thanks for showing everyone lol

Just saw this on the Southtown website:

Five people are in police custody following an attack on 10 diners at a Tinley Park restaurant Saturday in which three people suffered injuries serious enough to require hospitalization.

Tinley Park police said the attack by a group of about 15 men, all dressed in black, was a targeted assault. The incident happened at about 12:45 p.m. Saturday at Ashford House, 7959 W. 159th St.

Police said in a news release the “offenders were seeking a specific group of people dining in the restaurant.”

The attackers fled the restaurant in three vehicles, and five of the suspected assailants were apprehended near the intersection of 159th and Harlem Avenue, police said.

Police tried to assure residents the attack was “an isolated incident” and that “there is no immediate threat to the community.”

Police said a group of 15 people stormed into the restaurant at about 12:45 p.m. Saturday and

Ten customers of the restaurant were hurt and three were taken to local hospitals, with the rest declining medical treatment, Tinley Park police said.

Reports indicated that bats and other weapons were used in the attack, but in a brief news release, police did not describe the weapons used.

According to a neighbor, a van with several people inside approached the Ashford House about 12:30 p.m. The group, wielding bats, entered and began beating patrons inside.

An employee leaving Ashford House said she was told not to speak to reporters, but described the scene inside during the attack as “a mess,” and that the attackers said little but shouted obscenities.

Tinley Park police said the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force was assisting with the investigation. Orland Park Police Chief Tim McCarthy, who heads up that unit, deferred questions about the investigation to Tinley Park authorities.

Representatives with the Illinois State Police crime lab were also at the scene.

No, just the 15 with the bats, what does a college degree have to do with anything?
