Woman Admits To Abusing Foster Child

How can someone abuse a child of this age. I think she should get the MAX PUNISHMENT on this charge of abuse. If she couldn't handle the child she should of never taken the child in. There are other responsible people out there other than this HATEFUL WOMAN.!!!!! I feel no remorse for her if she a load of jail time a CHILD NEVER DERSERVES ANY KIND OF ABUSE..

You Know the thing that really chapped my hide(and still does) is that they(the whole of the family and friends)of this person(term used very lightly) all said thast this 18 month old BABY was smoking cigerettes and Burning Her-self with them.
But, the saddest thing of all is that person is still walking around here and not sitting in Prison where she/it belongs.

wow! im not on the rez anymore..so its my first time looking at this...i know who that is...thats scary...cuz she lives by my grandmothers....thats scary but, yeah no one deserves punishment like that.......especially a child....prayers go to the child..

I cant believe that people treat the babies like this I remember when I thought i couldnt have babies I would love to have taken a baby that age. Children are gods blessing if you disagree then you must never have been a child

For a grown person to inflict harm on a small helpless child is disgusting! Why is this woman not sitting in jail? To imagine the what this baby went through is unthinkable. I hope she remembers what goes around comes around.

I think that everyone needs to hear what the other foster family did to this little girl before Wendy even had custody of her. They broke the girls nose & stuffed gauze up there from preventing it from bleeding & caused more damage. I can go on & on with the abuse that the other fam did to this little girl. Wendy notified the behavior of the girl but DSS did nothing. Do not judge people if you don't know the facts!

In my opinion there is a shortage of good, loving foster homes not only off but on the reservations. These little ones need so much love and patience considering the fact that their biological families cannot take care of them. Some people do not deserve to have children. I agree w/lmarie children are God's gift to us and they should be treasured.

This is not true im her 15 year old son i was there when she did the social service didnt tell her that she was a crack baby well if u think its true why didnt my mom do to us when we were little so get it right.

she's talking like she knows all things that happened to this little girl. The little girl was in other foster homes before she went Wendy's. Ther was abuse going on in the other homes! DSS is so overloaded with cases that they didn't have time to look into all this.

this very sad. i agree with most of you that dss dropped the ball, on this case, as well as many other cases. it's not a perfect system, but until indian child welfare, and foster care, becomes a well funded program. this is what we get. many of our children that grow up in foster care, end up in federally funded correctional facilities. it's a fact. because i have seen this happen. i'v visited many of our older children in these federal lock ups. most often, they are placed there, not because they committed a crime, but because they have no other place to go. so the government warehouses these children in places like this. been there, seen it, lobbied for funds to help. but the government seems to want out of the indian social services programs. until our tribal councils, make this a priority, in washington, we will never see change.

Children are a gift from GOD,and don't deserve the abuse that Wendy did to her. I'm sure another adult had to have seen,or had a notion that abuse was going on in the Veit home,like her Husband? I do believe the abuser deserves the Maxium Punishment for this crime. THank GOD the little girl is doing fine,and is in a better home. WHom,I see from time to time when I go home,but she will always have the scars on her face to remind her of what happend at such a young age,but I hope she don't remember all of it. Prayers to the Little Girl!

Wendy Took care of my Niece Adriana During that time, my sister couldnt keep her so she let Wendy Have Cusodiy of her. Its Dumb how people say that she would of done it on purpose. If that was the case, i think adriana would of sufferd from it too. But nothing was wrong with her. You should not Judge some one dont know, on what you hear, and im speaking on behalf of my Friend Kordell, her son.

Gossip and the truth...do people know the difference? I don't know what happened and I am not about to assume anything either. I am sorry for Kordell who has to read the awful things people write about his mother. Do you think that maybe you people are abusing him with your words? He is still a child and I don't see anyone taking his feelings into consideration. My prayers go out to the little girl who was abused. As for whomever abused this child, God will take care of you too.
