I noticed Heckels closed all it's doors in Eagle River saw info on their website.

AS an Eagle River resident do not appriecate the implication that we are covering for the Heckel's. Not true the bankruptcy affected many in Eagle River as there were debts in Eagle River as well. ie Radio Station, Newspaper, Fishing Guides, Office supply store, etc. etc.

Wah Wah Wah...,another Northwoods Crybaby worried about money...they're all alike. Just do what all the other business owners do, steal from some poor tourist thats up here trying to have a good time. At least back in IL you know what areas to stay out of if you don't want any trouble, up here they're everywhere with their smiling faces....until they get your cash.

Why not whine about Mole Lake Casino?? They were given 524 million in stimulus money to build a walkway..

You have Heckles, the franchised car dealers going out (Bergstrum, Bambenik (if that's how you spell it), and dozens of other businesses who are unable to get credit in which the bank bailouts were suppose to help.. Then Mole Lake Casino (which isn't a struggling business) gets a free grant.. Unreal.
